How do you capture the memories of the early development of your child? I loved looking back at my old childhood with my parents as they had curated a nice image folder, but it is a hassle to write everything down that's happening. Anyone else facing issues with this? Any good solutions?
Re: How do you keep track of your child's early milestones?
We used a simple notes app on the phone honestly — just a dedicated note for each month with whatever stood out that week. First time she clapped, first word, first time she figured out how to open a drawer and empty it completely at 2am!
The photo folders helped too but adding a quick voice memo was even better because you capture the actual sounds — the babbling, the first attempts at words. Way more emotional to listen back to than a photo.
The particular thing I learn from life was not to wait until you have the "perfect" system. Just start somewhere easy and keep it going. A messy record is so much better than a perfect one you never actually make! 😊
