Hello! How many children (ages 6 weeks to 1 1/2 years old) in an open space would you feel comfortable with for day care? Assuming within the appropriate ratio, what do you feel is a good maximum for class size for this age range?
I think that at this age an individual approach is important, and a large number of children will not be beneficial, in my case, then a group of no more than 6 people is the best solution.
I think it really depends on the age group and how many caregivers are present. For younger kids, smaller groups feel so much more manageable and safer, especially when they need more attention. Ratios matter just as much as the total number. I’d probably be more comfortable with a slightly larger group if there are enough staff to keep things structured and calm. Curious to hear what others have experienced!
