Tell me about your car, please!

Hey y'all!
We're about to be a family of 6, and I wanted to know what y'all have been driving your kids around in. What do you prefer, love, hate, wish about your car?
We have a Mazda 5 (6-seater), and there isn't enough room for 4 kids and much else.

Re: Tell me about your car, please!

  • We are currently on our second Toyota Sienna, it’s the best! This one has an 8th seat, which is nice. We’ve bought both ours used and they have been really great vehicles. Ours have been the basic models but still have so many nice convenient touches. Easy the stow a stroller and groceries in the back.

We also have a Chevy Express, which fits all of us. But I wouldn’t recommend that unless you have 6 or more kids.

  • Congrats on the growing family! Once you get to four kids, space really becomes the key factor. A lot of families seem to move toward minivans like the Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey because the sliding doors, flexible seating, and big cargo area make daily life much easier with strollers, groceries, and car seats. SUVs can work too, but many don’t have as much usable space behind the third row. I was actually reading a discussion about family planning and budgeting the other day while looking up cuando entregan la beca rita cetina, and it reminded me how quickly families outgrow smaller vehicles. A roomy minivan really seems to be the most practical option for larger families.

We recently upgraded for the same reason—our car just wasn’t cutting it with four kids and all their gear! We went with a minivan and it’s been a game-changer for space and comfort. Love having room for car seats and groceries without feeling cramped. If you ever need parts or upgrades, I’ve ordered a bunch from RockAuto before, and their customer service was super helpful.
