Am I the only one who isn’t able to tell baby movements/ feel baby kicks at 24 weeks pregnancy.

Re: Not able to feel baby movements and i am 24 weeks pregnant now

  • Do you know where the placenta implanted? I have an anterior placenta and at the last appointment the midwife said she wouldn’t tell me to expect movement until 22-26 weeks. I’m 17 weeks now, she said she wouldn’t be surprised if it happens sooner, but she wouldn’t get worried until closer to 26 weeks.

It’s annoying not feeling movement daily, but every time we do scans both babies are moving all over the place so I try to just be patient.

  • Last US, I was told- its an anterior placenta and i would feel movements around 24-25 weeks. It was same for me during the scan, baby was moving a lot.
  • With my first I had the anterior placenta and really only felt her at 30+ weeks when laying on my side. Even that it was rarely- at 41 weeks I was just laying there panicked bc I didn’t feel her and everyone says you should feel them constantly and I felt her once or twice a day if lucky. It caused me all sorts of concern but she is now 1 and full of energy and spice!

So don’t do what I did! Worrying over it didn’t help. They say the anterior placenta is a blessing and causes less discomfort in the long run - so just enjoy all the other fun pregnant side effects 🤭
