1st Trimester

FTM: Body Changes

Hi y’all. I’m 34 y/o, FTM entering her 8th week. Been dealing with a lot of bloating and just random weird feelings throughout my body. The common ones such as breast growing and becoming heavy and lower back pains, as well as others that I’m not sure if it’s just in my head or actually happening - like feeling the muscles of my abdomen hurting as if my body is getting ready to grow this tiny human.

I also started feeling more fatigue these last two weeks than in the weeks prior. And not nauseous per se, but I can’t smell anything too strong or go without food more often cause then I start gagging/coughing from an ick I get.

Anyway, I just wanted to share and maybe hear different experiences (common or otherwise) that other ladies may also be experiencing throughout their 1st trimester.

  • I am also 34 pregnant for the second time and this entire post quite literally describes EXACTLY how I’m feeling on the dot. Haven’t had too much nausea really either unless I go too long without eating as well. So I’m eating all day lol. And the physical exhaustion is super overwhelming too. I’m 9 weeks today. But this literally sounds like my exact experience currently!

  • Hi!
I'm a bit nervous. I'm 28, and I'm 4w+6 with my first pregnancy. I'm so new to all of this, and I get really nervous when I have "no" symptoms.
I have a general feeling of light fatigue every day, and my breasts have been sore and heavy. But otherwise, there are some days where that is it, and I'm scared I'm not "feeling enough." Other days, I start to have that nausea/gagging, or I'll have some mild cramping.
Is it normal to be nervous when there isn't "enough" happening?

Since I’m a FTM I’m not sure what’s normal and what isn’t, everything feels so new to me. However, I come from a mother who had me and my brother 10 years after and she didn’t find out she was pregnant with us until 2 months later because she didn’t have any symptoms and apparently didn’t experience any symptoms whatsoever with either of her pregnancies. If you’re not experiencing any symptoms right now, take joy in that. Sometimes symptoms begin to develop further along. At 7 weeks I told my OB I wasn’t experiencing many symptoms other than indigestion and she said that it could change later on. Just take it easy and enjoy the good while you have it. There’s no rule book. Every woman’s body and circumstances are different. You got this!
  • I was feeling nervous around w 6 when I was feeling good for a whole day after having days straight of getting sick. Your symptoms will rise as ur hcg levels continue to rise. All completely normal ✨
