Moving to a different app.

We have been discussing moving. FB has been brought up but there is at least 1 regular who isn’t on FB. It would be nice to move with everyone. I use WhatsApp with one of my groups and it’s great. It’s private but very much set up like our current page where you can have ongoing threads of conversations.

I don’t mind trying to figure it out and setting it up. Is everyone on board with that? Anyone adamantly against it?

I’m open! I have a WhatsApp account and while I’ve never been a group, I feel confident I can figure out how to join. Thank you @emeraldcity603 for offering to set it up

I just checked out starting a new group in WhatsApp and it’s super simple. There is a link to invite people. I can send the link via private message for anyone who wants to join.

Again, let me know if anyone is adamantly opposed to this platform. Once I get feedback I can start messaging the link to regulars who want to join.

I'm not familiar with whats app, for some reason I thought it was like a skype thing? Is it different than what I thought?

Whats App is owned by Meta (the parent company of FB, Instagram, GroupeMe and a couple other things). It’s a specialized group messaging app with more privacy features. It can be like a cross between TheBump forum and Skype because you can form communities that have various threads call “groups” for specific topics but it can be private (invite only). Like GroupMe if you are familiar with that. If you choose to use WhatsApp for individual communications it’s like a standard messaging app that also has video or phone calls and again, one of the highlights is its privacy features

@blossomingmama you need to go to your inbox. If you click on your username it will take you to a page and it should have a link to your inbox.

I've checked with the mobile app and on a PC, there's no section in my profile area, or username that shows inbox. I've tried to google it also, but nothing is helping me navigate. Nothing on search comes up either with the hourglass.
