I finally feel like I'm hitting a good stride and routine! Charlotte is fairly regular on eating (literally 4hrs on the dot and she's wailing for her bottle).
Owen (21m) is past his aggressiveness with me thank god and now I'm getting all the cuddles which is so so sweet.
Oliver (5y) is a gem of an older brother. just always wants to help out where he can and insist he can do the things he can't (say, hold her and support her head properly 😂) but god love him for trying.
Charlotte absolutely sucks for daytime naps and I've just gotta accept it. She'll be in and out for 3hrs, never consistently asleep for longer than 30-45 mins. Oliver was bad at napping after 15m and I just stopped trying but Charlotte is far too long. thankfully Owen still naps 2-4hrs at once so the house doesn't feel so chaotic all the time.
Oliver is a moose! Which considering it feels like he’s always hungry, makes sense. My SIL brought her daughter over who is 4 days younger and she’s like 3 pounds lighter. lol.
He had 2 good nights where he slept like 6 hours but then went back to his normal schedule of being wide awake from like 12:30 to 3:30am. He’s great at naps during the day and is resisting any efforts to change him to being awake instead.
I am exhausted. But that’s pretty much the norm at this stage. Next week is my last week of maternity leave and I’m sad about it but resigned.
My doc put me on Zoloft. I think it’s more anxiety than depression but since I have a history of PPD she thinks is it’s a good idea and I honestly kinda agree.
My 11 year old is constantly asking to feed him/hold him, and the 6 year old just wants to give him kisses all the time and show him off.
I quit pumping/BF but there is still milk that seems to be taking absolutely forever to dry up. Thankfully the pain pretty much disappeared 95% as soon as I stopped, it’s mostly occasional minor twinges now.
this is my backup acct. prevously helloblueeyes

Hey girls! I have been MIA bc I haven’t been able to get into the community group on my app. We are surviving over here. My older kids are keeping me busy enough along with the baby and my husband is helping to restore power from the winter storm that happened down south so I am pretty much a single parent until he is done working so much.
@thatbaintforbetty I feel you on the milk taking forever to dry up!! I stopped before 6wks pp and I still feel like sometimes I'm leaking!! Which is crazy lol
We are struggling over here 😅 Harriet has me nap or boob trapped most of the day, outings are rough, life has just accelerated, and on top of that I had an awful dental checkup despite the extra cleanings and my best habits (which means childcare for a breastfeeding baby for extra appointments) 🫠 My husband is scheduled for a hip replacement in two weeks — you read that right. He’s early 40s and active duty military, just the luck of his genetics. We are moving in May so trying to get all the pre-sell work done on our house before he’s on hip precautions and not able to get down on the floor or climb a ladder.
I feel like the leaps don’t actually end and it’s all just labor-intensive and I need to stop reading the Reddit comments that it gets better at X-weeks old because we just blow through all of those. Is it just me??
My saving grace is that nights aren’t too bad, homeschool isn’t actually impossible while nap & boob trapped, and she has the sweetest chunk and is just starting to laugh.
Hope you ladies are all hanging in there!!

@virginiaham nap and boob trapped 24/7 over here too! 🫠 my husband goes back to work on Monday and I'm nervous about it. We have had these last 12 weeks to start some kind of routine and we have NONE!
Aoife has started cooing, smiling, and laughing. She favors turning her head to the left, so we are going for a PT evaluation next Monday. Of course my car won't start so I have to drop my husband off at work. Which means I have to get the kids in the car by 6:30am. Oof. On days I don't have to go anywhere with the kids, I'll be home. I can't wait for nice weather to get here so I can walk everywhere.
