5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Struggling to go from laying to standing, and from bending at knees to standing back up.
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: SOB is quite annoying, and being this big. Toured the hospital today, annoying they didn't let me carry my toddler with me to do a quick peek into the units. So my husband went to see the units and I stayed back in the conference room. We got basic info, paperwork, and got to sign consent forms so we weren't bothered day of. Learned that the hospital has photographers who will take complementary fresh 24-48h photos and we can purchase them individually if we'd like. That's different and pretty sweet.
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Missing hiking! Bought more stuff for baby this week. Anyone have any stroller system suggestions? I gave mine away before I found out I was pregnant. Open to dual strollers possibly in a few months.
8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: I was going to write NATM, but then thought... What hair styles do you ladies like to birth in? I kinda went all natural and didn't even think about it the first time, pretty sure it was up and at some point it was fully down when I delivered and looked like I needed a comb LOL
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: pretty sure I’ve been getting RLP again which is a bummer. I go from full to starving at the drop of a hat. BH. HB if I lay down too soon after eating or eat too much of the wrong kinds of foods. Mobility is declining.
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: my poor, DS is having a tough time adjusting to changes we’ve been making in anticipation of baby. Sometimes he does great with childcare or DH and other times he just sobs for me. It breaks my heart and I’m trying to deal with it knowing soon I will be often torn between caring for both boys’ needs.
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): We’re having some gorgeous spring weather that will be short lived but it feels glorious for now.
8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: I am firmly in the super-short pixie hair camp so I’ll be wearing my hair down same as last time 😉
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: nausea mostly. I feel quite restless too. I don't really have anything left to do for baby and my toddler keeps me too busy to do much house work beyond typical maintenance so I just feel vaguely agitated.
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I have yet another respiratory infection. 3rd in 6 weeks. Though I'm pretty sure it's the same one over and over and my body just can't fight it off because neither my toddler or husband have gotten sick again after their initial bout. It's driving me absolutely nuts and I'm in a constant game of "did my water break or did I pee myself during a coughing fit for the 60000th time today?"
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): @blossomingmama I also miss hiking but that has much less to do with being pregnant and more to do with moving away from the mountains to the prairies. For strollers I have a city select, it's mid. I don't like how large it is, even folded, but I like the bassinet attachment. In theory it could be a dual stroller but my toddler is too tall.
8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: I'm pretty sure I went with French braid pigtails with my first and probably will again. I very much cannot stand my hair being in my face when I'm trying to focus on anything and a braid keeps my hair neater than a bun and it's more comfy to lie back in
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: lots of contractions, heart burn, nausea, my hips are feeling better thankfully.
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: this baby hangs out on one side of my uterus and sits on my right hip. It’s annoying that he just won’t move from that spot. He also gets the hiccups and the repetitive sensation drives me insane. My exciting news is that the sun is out so much lately. The days aren’t super warm but they are in the 20’s and it does feel really warm because of the sun. I’m ready for the midnight sun. I hope I’m ready to bag some peaks by May!
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): I almost have everything organized and prepped for the baby. I need to get my toddler boys’ room organized and situated so that’s not something that I need to do after the baby arrives.
8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: I have hair almost down to my butt and I get trapped when my hair gets caught beneath me. I will have my hair up in a bun and away from my face and body. I don’t like anything touching me when I hit transition. I start stripping everything off. I won’t even wear the monitors.
@lizdiane456 we have a respiratory illness too. It’s not affecting me too bad thankfully but there are a few us that act like death is near.
3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Tomorrow, then my midwife will be out of town for 10 days 🫠
4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: HB, lots of BH and some regular contractions when I'm up and moving a lot. Irritable about being asked the same 4 pregnancy questions by every relative and coworker lol. Some trouble sleeping but also being literally exhausted every day.
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: this is my last week in office before I get to start WFH until baby arrives! It's been annoying being at work when my mind can't focus on anything but all the nesting tasks I have at home.
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ):
8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: I genuinely can't say?? For any of them somehow. I'm sure my hair was up, likely in bun? I usually get in the shower for some hot water to relieve my back labor pains, so my hair kind of goes up and down as needed. I'm picky about how tight or loose it feels so with lots of moving around, it becomes a problem.
@emeraldcity603 baby is also hanging out in my hip! It's so annoying. I try to relax because I'm just happy she's not breech anymore but I would love it if she wanted to scoot a little. It's causing me a lot of back/hip pain and obviously she needs to move before labor.
@lizdiane456 with you in the vaguely agitated nesting camp. The only room even semi "nested" is our bedroom, which was the one that was most important to me personally (hoping to do 5-5-5 this time), but then this weekend the toilet in our en suite bath started leaking so we have to replace that.
@midnightatsunset I can also sense our youngest really clinging to me with the impending baby. She has gotten really excited about the baby itself, but DH has laid her down for bed while I laid with our boys for like a year and suddenly she freaks out screaming every night for me to lay with her. I feel bad that she must just have a sense of something being off because for better or worse, we really haven't made any changes aside from potty training, which isn't even related to the baby.
@blossomingmama I personally really like our uppababy Vista! We got it secondhand with our 3rd and it's held up really nicely. We have the adaptors and things for it to be a double + a piggyback board (little skateboard like attachment on the back) and it's served us well. It also came with a bassinet attachment for the newborn stage and I love it.
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Really frequent BH (contractions??) but nothing super consistent or timeable. Super achy/heavy feeling in my belly, vaginal pressure, leg pain, heartburn. I really hope this baby comes a little earlier - I can't imagine feeling like this for another month.
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this past weekend and everyone was saying what a trooper I was! I was dreading it, if only for having to do all the bridesmaid "things" while super preggo but it really wasn't that bad. I think this might be my last time being in a wedding party, though, as I don't have any other close friends who are engaged/who I foresee getting married lol
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): As much as I am ready to be done being pregnant, I still want a March baby.
8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: For formula feeding, do you boil your tap water or use filtered/distilled/purified water? I live in NYC and our tap water is fine but I know I need to do something to it for at least the first few months. I don't really remember what I did with my daughter - I think I boiled the water but honestly it was a pain in the ass.
@blossomingmama Another vote for Uppababy! I specifically got the Vista model with my first because I knew it was easy to add a second seat and it's great quality. My daughter doesn't use a stroller anymore but we got the piggyback for her to ride along with the stroller for longer walks.
As for hairstyles, my hair is fairly long so I may wear a headband to keep it out of my face or clip it back.
@fifilala516 I just bought distilled or purified water. Newborns can't drink normal tap. Last year I got a company to drop off 5G of purified water and I use the hot/cold dispenser been a huge help. Something to consider if it's available, but idk in NY. I'm an east side girl myself so I have my doubts that's a thing there in the city (depending where). Do you have grocery deliver options?
