  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 29 (29+1)

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Jan 22nd

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: braxton hicks maybe? Even though this is my second pregnancy, I feel I have a hard time identifying what that feels like. I haven't been sleeping as well. I can fall asleep ok, and then I wake up between 3-4am and can't fall back asleep many nights.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: We're buying a minivan (used) this week! DH has been investing time into finding the right vehicle for us and is test driving one tonight. Hopefully it's the one.

Also we are celebrating 9 years of marriage this week (almost 11 together in February)!!! Gosh, I get mushy when I think of how much we've been through and how much I still like/love him.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Do you feel you have a clue on your baby's personality already based on their womb activity? I could be totally off-base her, but this boy is just as active (if not more) than my first son. DS is totally a mover and explorer so I'm curious what this might mean for new baby's personality.

2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 15, 31w1 though.... midwife and I have been discussing that my actual due date is probably March 10, so more like 32w. We aren't going to officially change it but are preparing for a slightly earlier delivery just in case.

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: January 22

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: intense dreams/insomnia and acid reflux are still my trusty companions. But my house got hit with the flu and our 5yo is on his first day without 103°+ temps since Friday 🫠 so everybody is hot and miserable too.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: Feeling antsy about how close it is starting to feel to baby time. I feel like we have so much to do and I had so much energy for it, then we all got sick and our house is now an unmitigated disaster.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Do you feel you have a clue on your baby's personality already based on their womb activity? If I had to guess, she's very relaxed by comparison to our others. She really doesn't have a lot of the big crazy kicks my first two did, and she doesn't roll all.day.long like our 3rd. Despite having a posterior placenta, she was the latest I ever felt kicks with any of my babies! Just a sleepy girl, which I will accept gladly lol. But also fully prepared for her to be totally different on the outside!

    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: none
  • @midnightatsunset congratulations! Our 7th wedding anniversary is the day after my due date. We've been through so much together in the last 11 years and I would not trade one bit of it. Really proud of how far we've come together as a couple and not letting adversity and hardship get between us, and while I totally understand how babies rock a marriage, ours has always been really strengthened by our mutual priorities for our family.
  • @thescarletmom so sorry you guys have been so sick! That is so frustrating to want to tackle a to do list and then feel even further behind.

    on congrats on 11years together!
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 8

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/25

3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: sometime in Feb. I couldn’t fit one my second Jan appointment into our schedule so I’m just skipping it.

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: my hips hurt and they crack often. I’m just uncomfortable most of the time. My belly has grown some for sure because some shirts are tighter than they were.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: last week was rough, followed by a busy weekend and I’m just glad it’s over. I have 1 week before we leave for California. So I need to get us packed and I also can’t miss any days of getting school done. I’m trying really hard to get as much done school wise before the baby comes. I want to be able to relax and not worry about what needs to be done for school. I have also started my breathing exercises for labor prep. I had a really good session today because I was so relaxed I didn’t even realize I started falling asleep. I’m hoping to do that for at least 20 minutes a day until labor.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Do you feel you have a clue on your baby's personality already based on their womb activity? Not really. He seems active often but also sits in what seems like one position. I’m pretty sure his head being against my hip is what is causing me so much pain.

    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ:
  • @midnightatsunset I relate to that Braxton Hicks statement so strongly 😂 I don't recall having them so much with my first, but they are so strong this time around

@thescarletmom I'm sorry about the flu! It's brutal this year. Hope you all get better soon

    1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 11, 31+5

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: ultrasound tomorrow

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: lots of Braxton Hicks and I feel as though she's dropped already, my pelvis feels quite heavy.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I have 5 more shifts at work then I'm off on mat leave! Next Wednesday is my last day, I am so excited. It going to be so nice to actually have time to nest and clean and sort everything to get it squared away before baby. I got my confirmation for my c section March 4th, 10am. It's so weird to just know the birthday and be able to plan accordingly but nice.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Do you feel you have a clue on your baby's personality already based on their womb activity? She doesn't move as much as my son did but that might just be because I have an anterior placenta? Or I'm just busier chasing a toddler and don't notice as much? I'm not sure. She has one huge dance party every night at about 9-9:30 that last for about half an hour, but not a great deal otherwise. My son did lots of big movements at all hours of the day, basically constantly, and now I lovingly call him my little hurricane. The boy never stops.

    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: none
  • @midnightatsunset Braxton hicks feels like your uterus is balling up into a tight ball. I have lots of those. Sometimes they take my breath away. I have also had some that feel like it’s engaging my cervix and I’m not sure if those are real or just another variation of BH? My cervix gets a really firm, intense tug upwards with the contraction. Maybe I’m dilating already? Who knows. Either way, it’s not happening enough for me to worry.
  • @emeraldcity603 that’s a helpful description! I’m definitely getting BH in that case. Oof.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 31w1d / March 16

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Jan 19

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: BH, general aches and pains. Although the baby definitely dropped because my heartburn somehow eased up overnight (and my belly looks lower too)

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: There are several of us pregnant at work, so our office threw us a little surprise baby shower today, which was lovely! I wasn't feeling great so was going to work from home but then someone spilled the beans to come in so I rallied LOL.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Do you feel you have a clue on your baby's personality already based on their womb activity? This one is way more active in terms of swooping, whereas my first daughter just kicked a lot, if that makes sense. Also, my daughter was head down at 29 weeks and never moved. Last scan, this baby was transverse so hoping she flipped!

    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: NATM
  • @fifilala516 both my boys were head down from like, 16 weeks on! But my girls have been more stubborn. My 3rd was transverse up until somewhere in the 30s weeks and this baby was straight up breech at my appt last week and I can tell she still is very much head up in my ribs (my midwife taught me how to do some basic belly mapping). I need to do some spinning babies or something because I'm feeling a bit antsy about a breech baby.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 4

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 29+6

3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: I'm not sure, need to check

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: constipation, leg cramps, pains in my back and belly

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I started taking magnesium a couple days ago to see if it will help the leg cramps, I didn't have leg cramps last night so hopefully it's helping! It's annoying though I feel like I have nothing that fits and two of my maternity leggings of different brands got holes in the exact same spot, it could be from my cat but I'm not sure.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Do you feel you have a clue on your baby's personality already based on their womb activity? No, I don't think you can predict that. All my kids are really different and I never had any way to know what they would be like.

    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: I think I had one but now I can't remember!
  • @RoseShadow873 the magnesium should help with the constipation. I take a liquid kind and it helps me so much.

    1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/14

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Monday

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: BH, HB, pelvic pressure, out of breath, strictly only able to lay sideways and hips hurt after a bit.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: HB probably the worst and just pelvic pressure after working all day. Luckily I can choose my schedule and left myself a few weeks off before baby comes. I don't feel like I'll get to "relax" as I have a toddler who constantly wants to play but it'll be nice to just spend time and get ready. Slowly getting my hospital bag ready. Getting use out of my Pregnancy belt and compression socks for work.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Do you feel you have a clue on your baby's personality already based on their womb activity?

I think he's tired of running out of room. I see him stretching and it feels like he's trying to stretch himself out of my womb, I sometimes have to put my hand on my tummy as a barrier or it just hurts too much. This baby moves and rolls allllll over, but sleeps early morning when I'm up and bedtime for sure.

8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: Everyone finish doing their shopping/ what they need for the baby? I'm kind of late to the game and will be purchasing in the next week or two. Not going all out like I did for my first; half the stuff I didn't use. Does everyone have a name picked out?
  • @blossomingmama also very late to the prep game. I was WAY more on top of it last time. I kept telling myself "oh I'll do it after Christmas!" And now it's after Christmas and I'm feeling the time crunch for sure! I just bought a bassinet and new baby monitor this week and I started going through my first's clothes and realized I have very few gender neutral outfits so I'll be going shopping. I have my baby sprinkle end of January and despite me telling my friends I don't except gifts I know a few are planning to so I'll wait until after that. Other than that the nursery is not even started but my husband has been "nesting" by doing odd jobs fixing up the rest of the house (finished main bathroom face lift, repainted living room) both of which honestly are more relevant than the nursery anyway, our first wasn't in his ever until 6 months.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 1

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/7 33 and 1

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: 1/20

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: constipation, indigestion, lots of big moves from baby, feels like he likes being on the right where his placenta is but maybe I’m just being silly.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: having some significant SI joint pain that makes it hard to walk sometimes. I can be half way across a room and unable to lift or move my left leg without severe pain. My doctor won’t take me out of work completely to use my maternity leave early so I’m extremely frustrated with that. I’m getting a second opinion this week.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): Do you feel you have a clue on your baby's personality already based on their womb activity? I think my baby will be really active and move ALOT because of how active and aggressively he moves in the womb.

8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: I have two questions. First, where can I find all these abbreviations and what they mean? I am struggling to figure them out. Second, anyone else experience lightheadedness and fatigue/weakness in the middle and right after meals? It seems every time I eat I get lightheaded and my arms feel weak and I just want to go lie down. I passed my glucola test and not technically anemic, but was told to start an iron supplement anyway (hemoglobin 11.5). I have an appointment on Tuesday but I’ve been extremely dismissed though out my pregnancy from my OBs (had a 5mm kidney stone for 4 months they said was round ligament pain, have been told pregnancy is not a disability and I should be able to work through the sciatica and pain I’ve been having without any one asking me what I do for work and what my job duties are)
  • @megss731 I’ve been trying to find a link I used way back in August/September to acquaint myself but I am coming up short! Old posts of other moms asking for a link seem to be broken and I can’t find what must have been The Bump’s old glossary 😵‍💫

I did find a link for another site that goes over common acronyms it’s not perfect but it might help!

    https://pregnancyarchive.com/blog/discover-the-most-common-abbreviations-used-during-pregnancy-for-a-smooth-and-informed-journey-towards-motherhood
  • @meggs731 I definitely am experiencing that. Right after I eat I'm instantly tired and need to lay down.

@lizdiane456 Exactly. I'm not making an entire nursery this time around. I realized I cosleep for a while and the nursery was just kind of like a waste of space. Instead I'm going to make a designated dresser or couple drawers in my toddlers room until we move and then see what I'm working with and where I'm at then. I just need to buy a structured bassinet which is something we used with our first. Few newborn onesies, and some 0-3. Then buy as I go depending on how baby's size will be. Currently just making my "go bag" ready little by little so I have all the essentials..etc.
