    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 29w1, March 15

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Jan 7

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Generally feeling pretty decent still 🤞 some foot soreness if I'm standing too long, trouble sleeping, and acid reflux. And HOT all the damn time. But I'm clinging to feeling good as long as I can! The nesting bug is biting big time and I've already got a list going of everything I want to accomplish before baby once we get through this week!

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: Its almost baby year?! Still feels so close yet so far. I'm both ready and not to take down all the Christmas decorations and launch into baby prep. Our 5yo cried yesterday because he was so sad "the baby wouldn't get to see our christmas decorations if I took them down" . He is so excited and so sweet, he also talked to my belly the other night and said "I don't know what you'll be like, but I'm excited to meet you" 🥹 all his own words. I'm really excited to see him with the baby.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): I got a Kindle for Christmas and at first I wasn't super sure I would love it. I think it handles funky screen-input-wise, and after using the Libby app on my phone for a long time it felt sort of useless to have a separate device for it? But I think I've come around after a few days and am really enjoying it. My husband also got the kindleunlimited so that's been nice to get to read some things I've had on a nebulous TBR (I don't actually keep track) without insane library waitlists. I think it will be a good bedside companion when baby arrives.

8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: I *swear* my bump dropped majorly overnight. Both visibly, and I also am not having to push her out of my ribs in order to take a deep breath anymore. I've never had a baby drop so early and it's sort of weirding me out. Anybody else ever have this experience?

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Feeling big and uncomfortable. Still having PGP, heartburn. Also don’t know if I’m having pregnancy rhinitis or if my daughter got me sick.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: Baby was transverse at the last scan but everything else was great. They said she had a lot of time to turn, so here’s hoping.

Also on Christmas Eve, I slipped in my house and ended up going to the ER because I thought I broke a couple of toes. I didn’t - they were just sprained. My friend who is an L&D nurse at the hospital told me to get the baby monitored too even though I didn’t fall on my belly.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): I didn’t answer last week but we do sushi on NYE (will have to get preggo friendly rolls this year) and my brother’s birthday is New Years Day so my mom makes his favorite foods.

3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Jan 7th (ultrasounds)

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: after feeling some clarity, the brain fog is back. Feeling super tired after the holiday stuff (and we still have one family gathering to go). Nesting super hard - lists on lists on lists. Trying to document all kinds of shit because I’m bad at asking for help and I was so overwhelmed when my first was born I just didn’t know how to move forward. So I’m trying to be proactive and leaning into my type A without being too obnoxious.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: this is maybe going to be nothing, but my MIL announced our next holiday gathering on Saturday with my hubby’s step siblings is now going to be at a restaurant instead of her house. It’s totally fine she make a call like that - I’m just dreading going to a restaurant with these extremely overstimulating relatives and having to keep our very curious and active toddler entertained. I just feel we’re going to have leave early with a sobbing boy and I don’t even want to do this anymore.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): to answer last week’s question - DH and I super boring about New Year’s celebrations. I like to sleep and the friends we would invite for a chill dinner are the kinds to make big plans for New Year’s lol.

@fifila516 oh my gosh - how’s your foot feeling now? And bummer on the stuffy nose!

@thescarletmom I love using an ereader vs ipad or phone screen. I get fewer headaches and the backlight/nightmode is nice for reading in bed! Your son sounds like a sweetie who will be an excellent older brother 🥹

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: next Monday

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: I feel huge. I swear I'm as big now as I was full term with my first. I know I shouldn't but I've been stressing on gaining too much weight/losing it post birth, it makes me so self conscious

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: influenza a worked its way through my house pre-Christmas and now it has come for me. I'm at my parents' until Jan 3rd so at least my mom is babying me which is so nice.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): I started knitting baby girl a hat and I'm OBSESSED with the yarn I got for it. It's hand dyed Marino wool (yes I paid way too much for it) cream with self striping pink and purple, then I got a beautiful violet colour to make a contrasting stripe that I'm going to knit a bow to attach.

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: baby kicking my ribs, still chilled on my bladder, and trouble sleeping. I barely nap no matter how hard I try. Heartburn ❤️‍🔥

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: Heartburn, just looking forward to moving.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): As big as I was when I delivered my first, not thrilled about it and kind of stressing how big baby will be during delivery.

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: mid January

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: heartburn, thirsty all the time, my left hip aches, tired. I think this baby has his head in my left hip. My placenta is fully posterior but I usually feel all movement on the right side. Occasionally I feel something on the left side. So I imagine him always facing my right side and just kicking away.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: my toddler took to potty training like a little pro. We had a few days of fear pooping in the potty but we got past it quickly and now he has been accident free for 3 days. I attribute his success to how excited my other kids get every time he goes to the potty. They cheer for him and make him feel so special. He lights up with a huge smile.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): we are going to Disney in a few weeks. I’m excited to get away from the negative degree temps. I have been so sick from it due to my cold urticaria. We have hardly any snow and the temps have been so bad the air burns your face. I decided we wouldn’t go to the New Year’s Eve festival which is outside because my toddler cries when I take him out. I think it’s cruel to keep him out more than an hour when he gets so upset. The tears alone destroy his face in that kind of weather.

  • @emeraldcity603 congrats on the potty training success! We tried with our 2.5yo a few months back and she did great for most of a day and then immediately freaked out and wouldn't even step foot in the bathroom. She has been super resistant ever since. We were really hoping to have her out of diapers before baby but I think at this point she'll be like her brothers and not ready until closer to 3. DS1 was SO hard to potty train, but DS2 was a breeze, so I hope once she's ready it will be easier. I think she also has the sense things are changing and so she is putting her foot down on this.

Our toddler also despises the cold and lasts 20 minutes max in even 20/30° weather. We have just known that she won't stand for outdoor activities after November until at least February lol
  • @thescarletmom I really attribute success to my other kids. They literally cheer so loud for him and encourage potty breaks. My kids are very much like a functional team most of the time. As for cold weather, we have snow 7 months out of the year so we have to get out. By March we aren’t really wearing much gear though because after the frigid winter months 20 degrees feels warm. It’s suppose to get up to the 20’s this upcoming week and we may be outside every day sledding or hiking somewhere. My yard is an ice rink on a hill so they can’t really enjoy that.
