Upcoming Appointments: Just left one, another this next Tuesday.
How are you feeling?: Achy. All of a sudden, my hips and pelvis and butt muscles (of all things) are just incredibly achy...
Rants/Raves: We're getting so close, guys!
Questions: Favorite items that you've taken with you in your hospital bags? I over packed with my first, and used almost none of it, but I still feel like I'm missing something this time around...
@marmalade0 nursing bras, comfy robe, chapstick, bone broth, mama chia seed pouches, boppy for baby (i did this with the last one and wish I had with each) that's about it for extra stuff I've favored.
FTM/STM/TTM+: 6th
EDD / Weeks + Days: almost 37 weeks

Upcoming Appointments: so i had a back to back scheduled today, but doc had family in town and surgery moved up so he asked if I could come this AM to the OB appointment and do the US in the afternoon and I was able to accommodate it so I did. Still at a 1 but he felt his head easily. This was at 9AM. At 330 PM at my US which went well, baby is measuring 85th percentile and passed all the tests in the timed US, BUT he is BREECH now. Haha 6 hours later and he is breech. This little stinker. My husband and I had a little fun this afternoon, I'm hoping it is something that happens often without my knowledge. This the latest US I've ever had. Since being home I feel like he is sideways and not head upto like he was during the US. So I called to make sure I could do some flipping techniques, but he's out of office until Friday. Ugh. Anyway I am just going to do as I have always done and hope this lad goes back to head down. 🤞 I've never had a breech baby. Or atleast known baby was breech. Wouldn't that be the luck a cesarean on the last baby. Haha anyway he was healthy and that's the main thing. Even if I desperately want him to flip back.
How are you feeling?: really good actually, sore, heartburn, achy hips, but all in all good. A bit disappointed in baby's position, but hopeful he will get this act right. 🤭
Rants/Raves: tomorrow is my last hosting gig and then it's all about baby. As much as it has been, it really made this last month fly by and I'm grateful for it.
Questions: anyone ever had success flipping a breech baby? I'm all ears!
GTKY: Is anyone planning a homebirth?
I was planning one initially, but my husband got cold feet. He told me it was ultimately up to me, but I knew a stressed husband was not the best thing, so I went with an OB. I plan to do unmedicated vaginal delivery, but I'm not opposed to an epidural if I so choose and if baby stays breech as he was this afternoon, I may not have much choice.
@marmalade0 I too overpacked my first bag and didn’t use any of the stuff in it. “Luckily” I couldn’t even find the list I had made last time. So I just asked in my last BMB from moms that just recently had another baby.
@emeraldmaybythebay I do hope your lil dude flips but a mom in my last BMB ended up with a C section for a breech baby on her surprise #3. These babies… always keeping us on our toes

EDD / Weeks + Days: Jan 11 but today is the induction day! Dec 31, 2025. I’m 38+3.
Team blue/pink/green: you’ll know soon enough
Upcoming Appointments: membrane sweep with my midwife later today; induction this evening
How are you feeling?: done. Lol. I did the Miles Circuit yesterday (baby was in OP position) and I guess the “Captain Morgan” stretches were so new to my body that I really effed up my piriformis on the right side. Trying comfort measures to get the pain to subside before the heavy work begins.
Rants/Raves: Induction Day! I calculated my Bishop score based on info from yesterday’s membrane sweep and it’s at 6. I hope it’s improved today.
Questions: nah…
GTKY: Is anyone planning a homebirth? I toyed around with the idea initially but after consulting with some midwives they unilaterally told me that I’m not a good candidate given risk factors. So I ended up instead getting adjunct care from a midwife and I’m glad I did because of all the misses by my OB.

Upcoming Appointments: Tomorrow (NST and check-up)
How are you feeling?: So over it. Haha. I'm in so much pain, especially in the evenings. I've had some contractions, lightening crotch, kicking, acid reflux, and just general pelvic pain that makes it hard to do anything.
Rants/Raves: My parents are flying in on Monday to help out with my son while I'm induced. It will be nice to have help. My rant is that we still have so much to do that I was hoping would be done before I gave birth (being fully moved out of our old house and having it cleaned and ready to list).
Questions:
GTKY: Is anyone planning a homebirth? No. I've never even considered it as I'd be too afraid of something going wrong. My first was born with pneumothorax, and I don't think he would have survived if I had a homebirth.
@kbmt give yourself grace. It's frustrating to not have everything checked off, but sometimes it's just not possible. With one of ours we were living in a home we were renovating my entire pregnancy. I was rushing to paint ceilings and do grout while 9 months pregnant. I was miserable. I had baby and we weren't done, but once I healed I would start a project and it would take half the time it had when pregnant. I laugh now thinking how stressed I was and it was all OK. In the moment, you couldn't tell me anything though. I was so bummed we failed our timeline. Babywearing is taxing while working but not like baby growing. That's next level! Excited for you! Monday is so close!!! Can't wait to hear your tale too!
