Upcoming Appointments: I had an ultrasound yesterday to check little girl's position; she's no longer transverse! And it's time for the weekly doctor check-in going forward.
How are you feeling?: I've had a bit of a resurgence of early pregnancy symptoms: nausea, vomiting, some back pain I thought I'd gotten past, heartburn, all that good stuff. Plus, I'm just rather achy and it's hard to stand up for a solid period longer than 20ish minutes. So, I guess I'm just feeling pretty pregnant...nothing is too horrible, though, it just is.
Rants/Raves: My husband, 2 year old, and I all also have a cold 😕 But, I have all next week off of work. I'm really looking forward to that!!!
Questions: Nope.
GTKY: What are you most excited to be able to do once you are no longer pregnant?
I'm so excited to get to sleep comfortably on my stomach again!
Upcoming Appointments: 12/23. I go weekly after this one. We will schedule a couple USs.
How are you feeling?: pregnant. I have also been having the same symptoms. Oh what fun it is. 😏 I have vomited twice this week so far. I have had loose stools daily too. Heartburn has been so wicked. My other baby that I had these symptoms this late I had 2 weeks early and I'm hoping that happens again. 🤞
Rants/Raves: I am hosting tonight and will make breakfast in the AM before they leave. I have 3 more times I host before baby comes. I generally love to host friends and family, but I am feeling very pregnant. I did crockpot Mississippi Chicken tonight. Haha I'm feeling LAZY! I had the boys make their own Christmas treats for their Christmas party this week. They won 1st and 2nd prize. They made oreo cheesecake balls and dipped pretzels. They were very proud of themselves and I was so happy to not have to do any baking. 🙃
Questions: Are any of you ladies done after this pregnancy?
I beleive we are, I just can't imagine closing this chapter, but I also know it has to close at some point. I remember always missing the little baby kicks and rolls after baby gets here. Your womb feels so empty. So I am truly trying my best to enjoy this pregnancy and all the lasts. Hard to do when your this far though and worried about tragedy striking again. 🫤
GTKY: What are you most excited to be able to do once you are no longer pregnant?
I can't wait to workout again, to move freely, and sleep and rough house with my boys again. I am also looking forward to some sushi and a stiff whisky drink with my gals. Wrestle time with my husband😉 Oh how I miss that. Eating without heartburn. I mean where to stop! Lol 🤣
@marmalade0, I also miss sleeping on my stomach so much! Sleep has been difficult the past few weeks and my legs hurt so bad while I'm sleeping.
@emeraldmaybythebay, I am done after this pregnancy. I'm not a big fan of pregnancy and haven't particularly enjoyed being pregnant either time, so luckily I won't miss much. Haha. Some people do love it. I wish I did. Mostly, my age will keep me from trying again, but I also feel my family will be complete with two kids.

EDD / Weeks + Days: 36+2 / My due date is 1/14, but I think I'll be scheduling an induction for 1/7. I'm very much over being pregnant, and I'd like to plan this out if possible so that my parents can come help with my toddler while I'm in the hospital.
Team blue/pink/green: Blue
Upcoming Appointments: I had a NST and check-up today. I'm 0.5 cm dilated with a very soft cervix. That doesn't mean much though. My next appointment and ultrasound is 12/26.
How are you feeling?: So much pain! It hurts to sleep, walk, bend over, stand up, everything. I'm also very, very tired. The acid reflux is pretty bad too.
Rants/Raves: While we are not fully moved in yet, we are now sleeping at our new house, so that's exciting. However, keeping up with moving and the holidays has limited my ability to put together a portfolio and do any type of job searching. I'm excited that my in-laws will be visiting over Christmas, and my parents are visiting in early January. My rant is that I had really hoped my toddler would be potty trained before having this baby, but he won't even sit on the potty now. Also, I have no idea how I'm going to finish moving, get the old house cleaned up and ready to put on the market with an infant. I was hoping to get most of that done beforehand, but it's been so much work.
Questions: What are you all packing in your hospital bags? Any must haves? I've started packing, but I have very little packed. I think I overpacked last time.
GTKY: What are you most excited to be able to do once you are no longer pregnant?
I'm excited to eat one of my favorite snacks—crackers topped with cheese, pepperoni, and pickles. I can't wait to eat pepperoni (not cooked) again! I'm also excited to be able to move easily again and to fit into more than three pair of pants.
@kbmt I'm a minimalist when I pack for the hospital. Last time I brought my boppy and I was glad to have it, I will bring that again. I never did with the others. Baby- -going home outfit -2 blankets because it's winter going home -boppy pillow -a binki just incase, usually we don't use it, but you never know. -aquaphor tube -I pack 2 of the long sleeved mitted kimono onsies I've had since my 1st born. They are what my newborns live in for those first couple weeks. -carseat
Me- -Going home outfit -long charger cords -bone broth and mama chia pouches for postpartum -tinctures for postpartum and milk flow -haaka -old slippers I need to toss so I can throw them out after the hospital. I just find hospitals to be so gross. (I know they are pretty clean, but 🤢) -electrolyte powder -small hygiene bag (soaps, toothbrush, lotions, moisturizer cream, maybe a CC cream and mascara, that's it) -postpartum belly band -2 nursing bras -1 pair of socks -robe -birthing combs -headphones -chapstick -hand sanitizer -announcement letter board -Hair ties, clips, head band -hand lotion -I like depends for post partum. I bring 1 just incase for going home. -milk pads -nipple cream -vitamins -door dash gift cards loaded. Lol I look forward to ordering doordash and just vegging in a "mostly" quiet room me and my littlest and savoring it while I can, before returning to the mayhem! 😉
Husband- Packs himself if he doesn't that's on him. 🤣 I have friends who pack for their man and make snack bags and I just can't he's a grown man and can do this one thing in the delivery realm on his own lol
That's the jist of my bag everytime. I pack light and hope for a short stay. I live in a nursing bra and diapers under a robe while I'm there. I don't bring my own gown to ruin. Baby typically just needs you and very little else and you need very little while there too. I have friends that bring airport roll on luggage as if they are traveling for a week. 🤣 they usually scale it back after their 1st. Better safe than sorry though.
I've never met anyone who enjoys ALL of pregnancy. I like little bits like feeling them move and hearing their heartbeat and just knowing I'm their safe space. The rest SUCKS!!! I know so many women who would do anything to know this sucky feeling, so I truly try to be grateful that I do get to know how it is. When I see them squirm outside I know that I know that feeling inside and that's a gift. I definitely wish pregnancy was easier and more enjoyable. I wonder what the population would be if it were. 🤔 it's a wild ride and I'm just privileged to have been on it. I agree my age is the decider for us as well. In my experience, it is SOOO much harder now that I'm older. Props to the moms pregnant in their 40s. I can not even imagine how much harder it is then!!! 🫡 motherhood is such a tribe of women and I am so glad we are all apart of it!
@emeraldmaybythebay, I'm 41, so I'm in that 40+ club! Haha. It took me a very long time to decide that I wanted kids. I was on the no kid train for a very long time.
Thanks for the lists. Yours seems similar to mine, but I had forgotten a few things like the boppy. I didn't even consider packing for my husband. Lol.
@kbmt I know the husband thing went right over my head. A couple of my friends have packed for their husbands snacks and all! They are better wives than I lol. After the 1st I send him home to sleep at night and to be with the kids.
There are so many pros to being and older Mom. Pregnancy wise, I'm not a fan. 25 was much easier than 34. Maybe that's just my experience, but I'm listening to this old body and stopping after this guy.
Congrats on your progress btw!!! It's a sign that you're almost there! 🙌 oh, and I'm in the same potty training trenches! 🫡 thought we would be done too, but we aren't. Santa is bringing a urinal for him. I ordered one months ago and it never came. I know the urinal will help. With my 2nd seeing a newborn and hiw helpless they are really made it connect for him that he was past that point. I'm hoping it will happen again this time. Here's to it happening for you too! 🤞
