  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 29 (25+1)

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Dec 23

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: a little brain fog, fatigue, my feet hurt if I stand too long without shoes, and I feel RLP and a smidge of PGP here and there so I wear a maternity support belt if I'm going to be standing long periods of time.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I feel like I'm in "pre-nesting" lol. I'm making lists of all the things I want to do around the house as soon as the holidays end. I also want to get all my housekeeping tasks written down very explicitly for hubby/others who will be helping me after baby is born. Because of how my body feels I can't believe I still have 3 months to be pregnant, but because of how much I want to get done in those 3 months it feel like barely enough time lol.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What is your favorite cookie/dessert for the Christmas holiday season (either to make or eat)? I love peanut blossoms, but don't like making them so I wait for my mom to make a big batch and freeze extras. I make frosted molasses cookies which are pretty simple and DH really enjoys (and I like, too).

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 11, 27+5

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Jan 5

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: exhausted but I think I might but be over doing it. Had some spotting last week while at work so I went down to L&D assessment, convenient it's just one floor away, everything looks ok with baby girl, just some of my cervix turning inside out and the inside does like being out so it can bleed. Didn't know what was a thing but apparently it is. Sounds like it's not a problem but they still want me to come back if it happens again incase it becomes something else.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: made sugar cookie with me toddler and each one he cut out he's exclaim "it's so cute!" Which was so adorable. His icing style is describe as avant garde and he ate them mostly as he iced them but it was still fun.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What is your favorite cookie/dessert for the Christmas holiday season (either to make or eat)? I love chocolate log. My mom always makes it from Christmas day dessert so I'm making it this year. Never done it without her so a little nervous but I think it'll be ok hopefully
  • @midnightatsunset oh I agree! I feel like I'm running out of time. I've also delegated all baby stuff to after New Years though. The nursery has these ugly bifold doors so I've been watching how to diy them into French doors
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/14, 27w2d

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Wed.

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: B

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: So big hard to get around comfortably and still have 3 months to go 😮‍💨

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: Just spending time with my toddler and seeing new words and sentences being made makes me happy. Continuing nesting.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What is your favorite cookie/dessert for the Christmas holiday season (either to make or eat)? I like sandies, the chocolate thumb print kind, haven't seen them in ages though. We made grinch cookies yesterday with my toddler.

8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: Anyone have any sneakers/footwear's they are raving about lately or have a preference using while pregnant. I tried to put my sneakers on today and the difficulty was real with this bump. Thinking of slip on sneakers, just not sure which brand to buy. Links appreciated.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 8

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/25 (25+5)

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: mid January

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Ny joints are loosening up so that’s been fun. My hips hurt anytime I lay down or have all my weight on one side.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I failed my 1 hour glucose test. So I’m stressing about that. I called my OB for someone to give me information about when I should go back in for the 3 hour. I would rather do that sooner rather than later.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What is your favorite cookie/dessert for the Christmas holiday season (either to make or eat)? We love making cookies here. My kids look forward to it and we enjoy baking together.

    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: none
  • @emeraldcity603 what a bummer to fail the 1 hr glucose test! Hopefully you can get 3 hr test scheduled soon and pass!
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 16 / 27w1d

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: 12/23

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: The joint pain is something else. My vagina is constantly aching and last night my hips were hurting so bad everytime I moved. I had a headache that wouldn't go away on Sunday night but I kept monitoring my BP and it was totally normal. One Tylenol helped but then it came back. And then after I ate a slice of pizza for dinner, it went away completely. Go figure.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: My mom keeps making comments about the baby having Triple X syndrome that are really upsetting me. She tends to be an alarmist and a pessimist but it just makes me feel bad.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What is your favorite cookie/dessert for the Christmas holiday season (either to make or eat)? Linzer tarts, specifically the one my alarmist mother makes. She got the recipe from a newspaper in 1975 and has been making them ever since. They are divine and I look forward to them every year.

    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: NATM

@blossomingmama Look into Billy sneakers - they're really adaptive shoes made for people with disabilities (I wear a leg brace so I swear by them) but the shoes are super easy to get on, with zippers on the side. Also helpful for when your feet swell!

@emeraldcity603 Sorry to hear you didn't pass the 1-hour, hopefully the 3-hour will be fine!

  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 4

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 15, 27w2d

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: early January

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: honestly I'm mostly feeling really good right now, which feels very unfair to say 😂 I'm not sure if it's just knowing it's my last baby or what, but once I got out of the second trimester I've just felt fantastic. I definitely still have some symptoms, mainly nasty acid reflux, SPD pain in my pelvis/hips, and some insomnia/can't stay asleep. But for me it feels really manageable right now! I've been nesting apparently per my husband, though imo its just been normal holiday cleaning and organizing.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I am a big-time baby wearer, and earlier this year I sold all of our solly wraps I had collected after we had a miscarriage and I thought for sure there would be no more babies. Obviously I was wrong, and regretted selling them! I've been searching for any of the special prints I had all over the place online this entire pregnancy and FINALLY found one! It's one that also matches a pair of solly jammies I hadn't been able to let go of, so I'm just really excited.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What is your favorite cookie/dessert for the Christmas holiday season (either to make or eat)? I'm mostly not a huge fan of Christmas specific cookies/desserts. I don't like gingerbread, or anything with peppermint or cinnamon. And I LOVE pb, but hate pb cookies lol. My mom always made pb balls and Italian wedding cookies at the holidays when I was growing up, and I still have a soft spot for those but haven't made them myself in at least a decade.

8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: Anyone else have the shock of, holy sh*t baby time is actually really soon? Exactly 3 months out from my due date as of yesterday, and realized talking to my husband that we *could* have a baby in 10 weeks 🫠 probably more like 12, since I have always delivered sometime in week 39, but I also am about 99.8% sure I set my due date about 3/4 days later than I really am. But ahh!
  • @emeraldcity603 bummer about your glucose test! Have you ever had GD in your other pregnancies or would this be a first if your 3 hour doesn't go as hoped? I'm crossing my fingers for you that you pass and the 1 hr was just a fluke.

@midnightatsunset @lizdiane456 hate how it goes from feeling like "plenty of time" to "I have everything to do and zero time to do it in before baby" in a split second. I pulled out all our nb and 0-3m clothes from the basement this weekend just to go through and literally panicked because we have almost nothing 😂 and I thought we would have been more or less set, even considering my other daughter was a summer baby. Wrong lol. I'm glad I didn't wait until closer to the time I plan on actually starting to wash and put things away because I would have had a meltdown.
  • @midnightsunset and @thescarletmom This is my first time ever failing. Although, I only passed by one point last time. So I was worried I would fail this time. I’m taking the 3 hour this Thursday. I may stick closely to a GD diet whether I pass or fail just to ensure me and baby stay as healthy as possible.
  • @thescarletmom I am a fan of the Tula Explorer and I just bought a Wildbird. I babywear exclusively. I never eve take the car seat out of the car because they always go straight into my carrier. Even if they are sleeping. They fall back to sleep easily when I get them settled. It also keeps people’s germy hands off my baby. The main reason at this point is the fact I have so many kids now that I need my hands free to take little hands or chase a kid who is running. My, now4 year old, was set on killing himself at every opportunity when he was a toddler. He still tries but he does seem better.
  • @emeraldcity603 bummer! I know the GD diet is way harder for some than others, I hope it's not too tough for you regardless. Do you already trend towards big babies? Outside of pregnancy I have chronic hypoglycemia and don't think I've ever in my life had a blood sugar above 130, so instead of doing the glucose test my midwife has me track my fasting and non fasting blood sugar with my monitor from 27-29ish weeks just to make sure things look kosher. I'm very familiar with how my blood sugar levels make me feel too so that helps.

Did you get a wildbird aerial or a ring sling? We bought an aerial for this babe too, haven't tried it before but wore a loooot of WB ring slings with DS1+2. I also sold my Happy Baby carriers earlier this year and plan to buy a replacement. We keep tons of carriers around because I like different ones for different things, and DH also baby wears a lot and we both hate having to resize the carrier straps every time the other uses one haha. We currently have a WB ring sling and aerial, a Malamabèbe ssc, and a few solly wraps on their way in the mail. We'll buy an HBC and maybe snag another ring sling to round out our stash. Agree you need all hands available once you have more babies than hands! DS2 (5.5) has always been our flight risk but he's better about it now. DD (2) however is a 10000% wild card at all times, so she also requires hands. The 9yo is fine 😂 though occasionally oblivious.
  • Just needed to come cry here because inexplicably two of our christmas packages were delivered to our old house today 😭 thankfully its only 20 minutes away instead of a whole other state but I'm really upset. I've ordered dozens of things through websites that use the shop pay platform but *just these two* got sent to our old address for some reason. They're both worth $100-$250. I'm absolutely terrified that the people that live there now will ignore us and we'll have to involve law enforcement.
  • @thescarletmom how frustrating!!! Hopefully it all works out but geez you certainly don’t need the added stress especially now!
  • @midnightatsunset I swung by and left a note on the door this morning on my way to work, and the homeowner just called my husband to say they were safe inside and I can pick them up on my way home this evening! Sooo relieved. I think I've seen too many horror stories online of people refusing to return incorrectly delivered mail 😅 because I'm not sure a box full of maileg mice is quite as theftworthy as an iPad haha.
  • @thescarletmom I did something similar with my niece’s bday presents. I felt awful and my SIL had to go hunt them down.
  • @thescarletmom yay! So glad they were kind people about the whole thing!
  • @emeraldcity603 ugh it's just the worst! We haven't lived there in almost 3 years and had zero delivery snafus so how the old address was the one the account picked up is beyond me. It was gifts for all 3 of my kids and some for my little brother, and I had already told his girlfriend what I ordered him so I was going to feel like a huge ahole because none of it was things I could go buy in store. Especially because at the same time I realized last night that our packages went to the wrong house, we also simply could not find any of the kids stockings so it was grounds for a mini meltdown haha.

@midnightatsunset thank you! I know, I'm so grateful for how it turned out. I was sick to my stomach all last night and this morning about it.
  • I took the 3 hour glucose test this morning and I nearly got sick from it. At the 45 minute mark I suddenly got so sick feeling. I was able to recover myself by splashing some cold water on my face. I don’t ever want to take that test again. She said I should get my results tomorrow. I really hope I passed.
  • @emeraldcity603 crossing my fingers for you! I'm glad at least it's over for you. Fasting tests always make me feel like death too. I don't know what kind of sick it made you feel, but the woozy, heavy body, might-puke-might-pass-out feeling is so terrible. It's a stressful body sensation especially when you're pregnant!
  • @emeraldcity603 that 3 hours is awful! I never ended up doing it yet this time around. I went off my one hour test, my history of GD, I changed my diet and have been tracking numbers. My last appt. The midwife said if I was fine with it, she would let me skip the 3 hour and just mark me as GD positive as long as I keep following diet and tracking numbers. I Hope you are able to get a passing number! All the holiday sweets have tempted me lately and I’ve been taking little bites of sweets here and there.
  • I passed! She called me first thing this morning. I’m so relieved!!
  • @emeraldcity603 woo hoo!!! So happy for you!
