  The phoenix rises from the ashes this week. I've been totally MIA the last few weeks but... with good reason. About 3...4 weeks ago now, my lil dude decided to grow his final 2 teeth (top 2nd yr molars) and we hit sleep regression to end all sleep regressions. Then also a potty regression. And, this sleep deprived preggo caught a cold that quickly turned into a sinus infection that just wasn't going away so finally, after 3 weeks of suffering, I went and got antibiotics for it this past weekend. After 2 days, I'm already seeing a lot of improvement in how I'm feeling. I had the best night of sleep last night that I had in many weeks.

  How are you feeling?: well, I'm still recovering from a long lasting sinus infection and I have undeniably hit the phase of pregnancy where "everything sucks". Baby dropped pretty substantially in the last few days, and well... my rectum is under pressure, my bladder is under more pressure (if that were even possible), and I move about as fast as a tortoise. I'm really starting to lean on my husband for the smallest things. I ended up buying a shower chair a few weeks ago and I believe it has been the best investment I made all pregnancy.

  
  

  Rants/Raves: I have ranted sufficiently. Rave would be is that we hired a nanny to help us with baby during night, and she's been coming and integrating into our family. Our little dude really likes her and it's just so nice to have an extra pair of hands to help out. We also have a few high school students in the area that we've been onboarding as mother's helpers and they were over this weekend for a few hours each week to play with lil man and it was so nice to go run errands with my husband without someone yelling from the backseat.

  GTKY: are you doing any "labor prep" stuff. I.e. drinking special tea, primrose oil, etc. I'm getting adjunct care from a midwife, and she's started sending me all kinds of emails about cervical ripening. I've already been drinking red raspberry leaf tea on and off throughout the pregnancy, so will probably get more religious about that. And also have ordered Red Dates, on the off hand chance they do help. Will also be doing colostrum hand expression and pumping after week 36/37 (which is in 1 week from now!) Not sure if we'll be having any sex though... sex drive is at an all time negative low... boobs hurt... everything hurts... 
  
  
  Regarding last week's question on push present: when I heard about it last pregnancy I was like "wtf?" but then my husband gave me a gift certificate at the spa after I delivered our 10.5lb baby, and I gladly accepted it. Lol. So, if he wants to give me another gift, I will not say no.

  @acleverusername the double whammy!!! I'm glad you survived and are feeling better. The sleep regressions are REAL! They always seem to come at a bad time too. And SHOWER CHAIR... you're a genius! May have to try this.

  Upcoming Appointments: I went today. Everything looks good. They were not happy with my declining the RSV vaccine and weekly US from here on out. I know they were annoyed. They tried to hard close me but I declined still. I have a chance to get it next appt if I choose to. I am going to do more research but everything I have found says preterm labor, high blood pressure, etc. This one wasn't around with my others. 
  
  
  

  How are you feeling?: I feel great this week. Great for being this pregnant that is. 🙃 I am having looser stools (TMI) and waking from Braxton hicks, but I am just glad to be on this ride and that the destination is near! The heartburn hasn't let up. 

  
  

  Rants/Raves: I found a carseat stroller combo I love for $60. A dresser set for 100 that matched one we got for free. I washed all baby stuff and am putting it away tonight. I got a baby swing for $50 that is lovely. I also sent my husband to get a bassinet and it was for $50 but it does not work. We are going to try to get it going with some tinkering. The boys and their Dad are on it. 🤭 I just lack a rocking chair and copper pearl bibs and blanket and a lovey. We found the most adorable coming home outfit at Kohls while Christmas shopping. I am so happy everything just came together the last 2 days and it happened so organically. I am al set for this little dude to come whenever.

  GTKY: are you doing any "labor prep" stuff. I.e. drinking special tea, primrose oil, etc. 
  I make Okra water and start drinking it about 2 cups a day for the last 2 weeks or so. 
  I also make my own bone broth to drink after birth. There are post partum and late gestation tinctures I take. 
  This time we are saving placenta and cord for stem cell because I met a connection in that arena and am hoping to make ours into an injection or mist. I encapsulate my placenta as well. That's all the pre and post prep I do. I also love hearing what women use and swear by.

  Rants/Raves: I can't believe Christmas is almost here. I'm finishing up our Christmas cookies tonight, and we're shipping all out of town gifts tomorrow morning. Then I just have to finish wrapping things, and we'll be set for here at home!
  
  I am hoping that when Christmas is over, I'll have a sudden desire to finish our house prep for this baby. Maybe my brain just needs to go in order!
