How are you feeling?: Stressed, honestly. This week has been a doozy and it's only Tuesday. Sunday and yesterday, baby's movement pattern changed. I wasn't feeling him as often and his movements were a lot more subtle than they've been in months. But I was still getting 10 movements in less than an hour when I did kick counts, and he had periods of strong movement in the afternoon on Sunday. Yesterday morning, I started to freak out a little bit and messaged my OB's office. I felt like going to L&D would be an overreaction since I was still feeling him move, just less often and less strong. OB's office said that they think this is normal and he's just running out of room as he gets bigger, and only to worry if I don't feel 10 movements in 2 hours. This was reassuring, but only after I sent myself into a panic over it. Late yesterday and this morning so far, his movements have seemed more normal so maybe it was just a temporary thing.

Then overnight last night, my brother (who is a volunteer firefighter) fell about 15 feet from a ladder while trying to rescue a cat and cracked 6 vertebrae. They took him to shock trauma. Luckily, he's apparently okay besides the pain and they don't think he'll need surgery. He went home this morning. Waiting to hear more from my parents about how he's doing and when we can come see him. This could have been so much worse, but he's my little brother and I worry about him.

On top of all this, I have an exam in one of my classes this week that I feel very unprepared for, and it's been difficult to focus to study with everything else going on.

My husband's also going on work travel across the country next week, and I'm just not super enthused about him being so far away this late in the pregnancy. I know this worry is somewhat irrational because the odds of baby coming at 30/31 weeks are very low, but I'm just not feeling good about it.

Just trying to take it one day at a time over here, manage the stress as best I can, and do my best at everything else.

    Rants/Raves: See above

Questions: None that I can think of right now

GTKY: If you could instantly master any hobby or skill, what would it be?

I'm going to go with something somewhat frivolous and say knitting. My SIL has been knitting most of her life and makes the most beautiful things. She knitted the sweetest little outfit for our baby, which I'm hoping we can use as his coming-home outfit. Just hoping he isn't too big for it - it looks so tiny. I'd love to be able to do that. I started picking up knitting this time last year and even took a class last winter, but I haven't done much of it since I've been pregnant, so I'll probably be starting back at square 1 when I pick it back up again lol

Upcoming Appointments: I have one next week I believe. They start gearing up this last stretch! We are nearly their ladies!!!

How are you feeling?: I got a hemroid. I know it's from obviously being pregnant but I was lifting more than I should have been. Other than that fun friend, I feel good. I've been doing some big nesting things so everyone is set and all I have to focus on is baby when I'm about to pop.

Rants/Raves: I also had a change in movements I was experiencing this past week. Which happens at this stage as there is less room, but we were also just very active and busy the last week so I just chugged some juice and laid sideways for a movie after a couple days and felt him going nuts. It's so funny what you forget about pregnancy and how little things will freak you out. Haha I have had this with each baby and still psyched myself out.

Questions: you guys a real Christmas tree family or fake? When do you do Christmas decorations? You a before or after turkey day type?  We don't both fake outside and real inside. We chop from our land and the boys love it. Usually we do after Thanksgiving, but this year I didn't decorate halloween (not like we have alot of decor for Halloween) but the kids missed it. So we are doing Christmas next weekend.

GTKY: If you could instantly master any hobby or skill, what would it be?
Either a natural musician or artist. To be able to draw or paint or sculpt would be amazing. Or be good at the potterswheel. A musical savant would be cool. I have a friend that can play anything he hears on the piano or guitar. Just stunning!

@ahume131 How is your brother doing?
I used to hate when I'm husband took work trips, but I found it love welcoming him home. We make a big ta-do about it. I'm either 2 different people when he's gone. I nest or get crap done or I watch the shows I want that I know he doesn't like as much and we eat take out. Lol no in between. I hope the time flies for you while he is gone.
