  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 34w4d (the most pregnant I've ever been!)

    FTM/STM/TTM+/it's complicated: IC

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Pink!

Upcoming Appointments: tomorrow a check at my OB, and weekly MFM on Monday.

How are you feeling? Tired, overwhelmed, cranky, anxious, waddle-y

Rants/Raves: still working almost 30 hours a week, plus parenting, and running a household is absolutely exhausting. We are prepping for baby girl and when DH was bringing the crib downstairs from storage, he just shoved it through a doorway and he broke it. It was an accident, but he is never careful with anything that isn't his very own personal belongings. I'm really frustrated. We can try to fix it, but that's just one more thing to do. And he is at a concert tonight I stead of helping me prep. Thankfully my sister and brother came over to help me for almost 2 hours today. Also super anxious about being this pregnant because I had to have an emergency c-section at 34w1d last time. Any time I have an inkling of baby girl not moving, I freak out.

    Questions:

GTKY: Return of the Halloween discussion - what are you doing for spooky season? Will you dress up as anything? We will go trick-or-treating in our neighborhood and around my dad's house. We will also probably go to one street that is really well known for its fun Halloween vibes! But I will also be handing out candy because we will not be *that* house on Halloween lol I'm not sure what I will dress up as. Probably a cranky pregnant lady. But it's supposed to be something you're not so.... 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • @bridgiebee82 yay for being more pregnant-er (🤣) than ever before!

Also I feel you on the waddle. Another reason I have a love/hate for such a super low baby.

Upcoming Appointments: Next week for growth scan

How are you feeling? Large, tired, sweaty and swollen 😅

Rants/Raves: I just want to stay home and relax with my feet up every day now. Really thankful to my mom for helping me unpack / organize the nursery, now I don’t get anxiety every time I walk past the room.

    Questions:

GTKY: Return of the Halloween discussion - what are you doing for spooky season? Will you dress up as anything? Mostly passing out candy to neighborhood kiddos! Will going over to our friends house afterwards. Going for a very low effort costume of construction workers with a “bump ahead” sign - my husband already had multiple hard hats from other costumes

@iwantcookies right with you on patience at work is SLIM and being put on calls + emails where things were already agreed upon. Sigh 🙄

    Hanging in there!
  • @jta41 we are military stationed away from family and I just did a brunch get together with local friends!  This is our third and I asked for no gifts (of course several people still brought gifts) but literally just wanted to be able to brunch sans kids and hang with the girls when our schedules and family lives are all busy.  We even found a brunch spot where we could reserve a private room there so it was super low effort, no decorations or anything.  My friend who was planning it kept it so simple at my request, communicated it well to the guests and it ended up being absolutely lovely.

  • @jta41 I have a calendar on my fridge that I started to mark on days I remember to take my prenatal and my iron. This week I severely lacked. But it’s a secondary method to help keep track
  • @jta41 phone alarms. lol. I have a nightly one from pre pregnancy to remind me to take my meds and I would probably forget more often than not without it. I rely heavily on them right now since with the diabetes I have to test an hour after eating or remember when to have my snacks. (Although even that I sometimes am busy and silence them, but on the whole super helpful).

    @virginiaham My dream!!!!🤩

@virginiaham I'm so sorry to hear about all the life stuff you've got going on right now. That sounds really hard. I totally get feeling like you just want to be able to focus on baby girl. But I also choose to believe that the people we show up for--which you've been doing so much of!--will also show up for us when we need it most. Also, baby girl may be arriving into a moment where your attention is divided, but she's also being born into a family that clearly cares for and takes care of each other, and that will be a beautiful gift she'll get to keep with her for life. Hang in there.
@jta41 Like @thatbaintforbetty I have a nightly alarm set to take all of my medications and supplements. I try to time it to where it's late enough that I know I'll be home and able to stop what I'm doing to take them, but not so late that I've already crawled in bed for the night.
@brookejay06 Omggg dressing up as Tim Allen from The Santa Claus is quite possibly the best use of a pregnant belly for a Halloween costume that I've ever heard of. I love it so much!!!
@thatbaintforbetty Ugh, strep. Yuck. Hope you're on the mend by now!
  • @aisleofviewtwo thank you friend, your words are so kind and thoughtful ❤️

How are you feeling? Good! Tired and sore at times but good!

Rants/Raves: I have had a lingering cough for weeks now. It’s just so annoying

    Questions: NATM

GTKY: Return of the Halloween discussion - what are you doing for spooky season? Will you dress up as anything?

we just walked around town for the trick or treated time last night. I didn’t dress up as anything, I thought about it but didn’t. Work had a Halloween dress up contest but I just hate participating in that stuff so I didn’t lol

  • I have a pill box I fill every am! @jta41

Rants/Raves: hg is picking back up so I’ve been throwing up multiple times a day. Logically, I kno I’ll feel better after birth but rn I’m feeling like I’ll be nauseous 247 w digestion/stomach issues forever 🥴😩

Questions: nursery chair…. Swear by a firm glider/rocker + live in it? Got one and never used it? Never bothered and just use couch or other chairs in home? We are in a big city, small apt, so trying to prioritize.

GTKY: Return of the Halloween discussion - what are you doing for spooky season? Will you dress up as anything? No im hella sick so I went to bed at 830. I love Halloween though. But now… now it is November and it is Christmas szn, so my tree is going up this weekend lol
