Re: Product Spotlights: Skincare for Mama & Pillows/Sleep Gear

  • Rocky Mountain Soap Co for skincare! They also do babycare products, their baby bum balm is an amazing alternative to Vaseline (my son is allergic). Bonus that it's safe to use with cloth diapers too.

I sleep with a regular body pillow when not pregnant and upgraded to a C shaped pillow with cooling cover for my last pregnancy. Haven't needed to pull it out just yet this time round but I loved how versatile it was for propping myself in different positions.

  • Anyone have experience with both the C-shaped pillows and U-shaped pillows? Pros and cons for each?

I had a U-shaped pregnancy pillow from my last pregnancy that I did really love but found that it got flatter over time at the curve where your head would lay. Not my fault I liked carrying it from room to room to meet my coziness needs 😆. I also liked having support for both my bump and my back so I'm hesitant to try the C-shaped ones and find another U-shaped pillow. I suppose my BF could always be my back support as he spoons me but I get so hot overnight sometimes that the U-shape sounds like a better night sleep being separated from him.

What's the going rate these days for a good but not expensive pregnancy pillow?

  • I tried to do some product swapping last year in prep for knowing we wanted to try for a baby this year, one being La Roche-Posay foaming cleanser. It immediately became a holy grail item for me, and great price value! Also using The Ordinary Azelaic acid and vitamin C and liking both of those.

During my pregnancy, I absolutely loved using gentle, fragrance-free skincare — the SpoiledChild serum was one of my favorites because it kept my skin hydrated without any irritation. For stretch marks, I used Bio-Oil and SheaMoisture belly butter. As for pregnancy pillows, the U-shaped ones from PharMeDoc were a lifesaver for better sleep! If you have questions about SpoiledChild products or need help with an order, you can easily check how to contact spoiledchild through their official website’s support page.

  • I got melasma late during my first pregnancy so when I'm not at home I'm prioritizing sunscreen over anything else. I don't do much skin care other than that and a lotion so I'm not too worried about ingredients but made sure it my new lotion was paraben free.
