What are we doing for pants? This is my first (and probably only) so I’m kind of at a loss when it comes to pants that fit without looking wonky.
I’m at a point where most of my usual jeans are a bit too tight. I ordered some maternity jeans from Target and just am not feeling it. They sag in the front and there’s no belt loops….or a zipper or button. I can see how the stretchy band might be comfy later, but right now it’s a bit much.
For context, I’ve only bought jeans from Buckle for years (I just appreciate that my size is the same in all their jeans and it’s easy to shop). I can’t wear leggings at work so jeans are preferred since I’m also not a slacks kind of girl.
Has anyone had any luck just sizing up throughout their pregnancy? I’m also open to any suggestions.
Re: Pants! Help!
the over belly maternity pants really do come in handy later on once your belly grows but yeah the over belly band is just annoying AF at first.
I totally get this — I went through the exact same phase where maternity jeans felt too maternity way too early. I actually had decent luck just sizing up for a while and choosing styles with a bit of stretch, especially mid-rise. It bought me a good few months before I really needed the full belly band. I also tried a couple of Uniqlo jeans and liked that I could experiment without stressing, since uniqlo’s return policy made it easy to send things back if the fit felt off. You’re definitely not alone in feeling awkward about pants during this stage — it’s such an in-between moment.
