Re: Weekly Check-In w/o Sep 29
FTM/STM/TTM+/it's complicated: 3rd
Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: 🩷
Upcoming Appointments: 34wk appt Friday
How are you feeling? Last night was the first insomnia night I’ve had, plus a kid who woke up starting a sinus infection (or just in a foul mood), and our normal house stuff not getting done while MH was home with us for a long weekend and I’m dragging today. But somehow school got done and I’m feeling MUCH better than yesterday (see below).
Rants/Raves: **TMI** intimacy felt like it almost put me into labor yesterday. Thankfully no more Braxton hicks than normal but I was mis.er.a.ble. the rest of the day 😫 Like wondering if this will be the baby that sex helps kickstart labor for. So while I was not sleeping last night I was adding to cart all the last baby things on my list and pulled the plug on ordering this morning. I think we’re closer to a name too, so just plugging along toward the home stretch 😅
Questions: Not a question but FYI for anyone wanting to do a pool with family/friends farther away to guess arrival date/time/etc., I just discovered babyhunch online for free. It’s a silly thing maybe but our extended family totally enjoys little things like that.
GTKY: What is a “cozy thing” in your world this week? I’m not really a PSL girl but OH MAN I found a pumpkin spice cold foam recipe that is super fast/easy to make, MH and I are both loving it, it requires no pumpkin, and is super low in sugar. I’ve been pouring it over my cold black coffee and it’s been my afternoon cozy treat. It would be cozier if it was a warm drink on a cool day but you do what you gotta do in the southeast.

FTM/STM/TTM+/it's complicated: 3rd
Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: blue!
Upcoming Appointments: Friday 28 week appt! Hello 3rd tri!
How are you feeling? Huge! Lots of uncomfortable pressure to the pelvis. Tired. Itchy. Haven’t had heartburn though which is so weird. Also feeling stressed, due to family/life things. And of course so very beat up internally.
Rants/Raves: UGH! So we had lice(everyone), we had pink eye(DD2) and now we have some type of stomach issue(DD1). Thankfully the girls don't have school today, it’s a teacher work day, because DD1 spent hours in the bathroom this morning miserable. Have I mentioned we only have 1 bathroom?!? Also we have gone over proper hand washing technique more times than I can count in the last several weeks. I need a break so badly. And a nap. I tried yesterday and DD2 came in to ask a question or say something every 10 min. 🫥
Questions: nope
GTKY: What is a “cozy thing” in your world this week? It was in the high 70s yesterday and I put on joggers, probably not quite the right temp for them yet but I wanted comfy. Also “bougie” grilled cheese. I don’t like regular grilled cheese but a restaurant in SF has this bacon/cheddar/havarti version that I copied and it’s amazing! Especially with Parmesan crusted Asiago sourdough! (As long as I eat only a half and pair with lots of veggies it has been mostly diabetic friendly, which is amazing cause DH is picky and this is one of his faves)

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: blue
Upcoming Appointments: next week for routine OB
How are you feeling? Motivated to work super hard at work (my part time job and my business) so I can start Mat leave in Nov. physically I feel good- I am just moving so slow. My little stubby legs with this belly… I walk so so so slow
Rants/Raves: it feels like time is finally moving. The first 20 weeks were miserably long (I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks lol) but now we’re getting somewhere!!
Questions: I’m still curious what type of fabric you recommend to sleep in when you have hormonal night sweats (cool and airy like linen or moisture wicking like tensel?)
GTKY: What is a “cozy thing” in your world this week? Umm.. nothing. It’s hot.
@brookejay06 I don't have any experience in the post-partum night sweats yet, but I prefer cotton or tencel. I sometimes feel like linen can be too stiff for me for sleep.

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Pink!
Upcoming Appointments: Next OB follow up in October
How are you feeling? Pretty good, getting bigger. I've learned it's best if I limit myself to one day of social activities on the weekend or I am wiped out.
Rants/Raves: By the end of the day, I can't stand the feeling of having a bra on. Normal bra, sports bra, bralette, doesn't matter - the band around my ribs drives me insane. But I passed my 1 hour glucose screen so yay!
Questions: Did y'all bring / plan to bring your own peanut ball / physioball to labor and delivery with you? I need to figure out if my hospital even has them. Seems cumbersome to pack in the car lol
GTKY: What is a “cozy thing” in your world this week? Rainy, slightly cooler weather = pot roast for dinner this week
My hospital had the exercise/birthing balls, the peanut one I remember using in particular.

dr has referred me to the surgeon, and for a 3rd term ultrasound. I'm measuring ahead (I always am) so I might have to do semi-regular growth scans. have to repeat iron blood work because we're certain I'm anemic (on top of everything else) and dr wants to make sure my hemoglobin stays stable.
officially hit the point where none of my shirts are long enough to hit the top of my pants/leggings. so officially have nothing to wear. yay! /s
It’s totally the maternity version of the baby bodysuit extenders 😆, which are amazing if anyone doesn’t know what they are. (The best ones I’ve found are on Etsy and come in 3 snap sizes.)

this morning both kids and DH were arguing over rain boots. Like they all know DD2 has them, but are arguing like since they do not immediately see them then they do not exist. It literally took 2 seconds once I got out of the bathroom to grab them and end the whole thing but seriously?
I actually mildly snapped at DH this morning to help out after telling DD2 that for the millionth time she is not putting her pants on correctly. For some reason mornings are that .01% round here. It’s a daily catastrophe despite the fact that they have had the same routine for over a year.

How are you feeling? Good tired baby boy decided to have a dance party all night.
Rants/Raves: RAVES: my US tech is an OG since I now come in weekly she gives us little perks to make things more bearable. Like she gave us 3D photos of Bebe boy and oh my god it’s becoming so real
Questions:
None this week.
GTKY: What is a “cozy thing” in your world this week?
@rebecksah @brookejay06 the mental load is absolutely exhausting. I had it out with my husband Monday morning because he didn't have a lunch for work. After I told him the night before to pack one. Sounds like you'll starve, dude. I filed that under "Things That are Not My Fault. Or Problem."
EDD / Weeks + Days: 12/6 30w5d
@brookejay06 @thatbaintforbetty @bridgiebee82 get this one. last night the 4 year said the tag in his pj shirt was bothering him. my husband looked at the knife block and said he couldn't find the scissors so he was just gonna have to deal with it. I was in the bathroom peeing and said "there's a pair hanging over the sink to dry, another pair fresh and clean in the dishwasher" I came out of the bathroom, husband no where to be seen, my son sitting at the dining room table waiting for me to help 🙃🫠
