During the school year, my 10-year-old son joined the local soccer team as a goalkeeper, although he still plays on the field occasionally. He’s really excited about soccer, but I can sense that he’s a bit unsure of his skills.
After consulting with his coach, we were encouraged to have him practice some individual drills at home. These drills include reaction saves, goalkeeper footwork, wall passing, and dribbling control to enhance his performance in both goalkeeping and field play.
I’m seeking individual soccer drills suitable for 10-year-olds that can be done alone, yet remain structured and engaging. Since I’m not a coach, it would be good that the drills are easy to follow, effective, and allow him to track his progress in a fun and motivating manner.
