Has anyone delivered yet? Let’s hear your birth stories and share photos if you’re willing! I’m 39 weeks and really want some distraction from how uncomfortable I am 😅
I’m 39wk5d and my daughter has not shown me any signs that she’s like to come out. I have a feeling she’s waiting to her arrive on her father’s birthday September 20th!
@jlawson199324 that’s my due date! I’m having my membrane sweep Wednesday morning so I’m hoping that will ramp things up. I was induced at 40+5 with my first and knowing my luck.. I’ll end up doing the same here on 9/25. My girls are proving to be stubborn 😅
Baby was due 9/12 (my husband's birthday!!) but I was soo over being pregnant that I agreed to a membrane sweep at my 39w appointment on 9/3. I had a little bit of spotting after and felt a bit crampy that day. The next day 9/4 I continued to just feel a little crampy on/off throughout the day. Around 4pm (24ish hours after my membrane sweep) I lost my mucus plug. I kept thinking ehh I just feel like I have period cramps, I'm not having contractions 😅 I got my other 2 kids to bed around 9:15pm (they were having a rough time at bedtime) and around 9:30pm I was like "😳😳😳 these are definitely contractions". I started timing them and they were coming every 2-3 minutes. Told my husband to call his mom to come over and I hopped in the shower to labor at home until she got there. She only lives 7 minutes away but she took 45 min to get to our house and I thought I was gonna die 🤣
We got to the hospital and got all checked in around 11pm, the nurse checked me and I was about 4cm dilated. I had to wait for them to get my IV all set and start my antibiotics (I was GBS+) but then I was able to labor in the shower and tub. Things moved pretty fast! My water broke around 12:30 and at 12:49am on 9/5 my team green turned pink baby was born at exactly 39 weeks! Clarke Elizabeth weighed 7lbs 1 oz and was 20.5" long. She was my 3rd unmedicated birth. We got to go home after about 36 hours in the hospital. Big brother and sister are obsessed with her and we have just been soaking up all the newborn snuggles.
You'll all be snuggling your little babies in no time 🥰🥰
@nsk489 congratulations!! 🩷 I’m glad you had such a positive experience with your membrane sweep, and especially birth! Welcome to the world baby girl! 🎉🩷
I had my sweep this morning at 9am and I was already 4cm and she could feel her head (about 0 station) my doctor was convinced I would deliver tonight but it’s 10pm here and no such luck 🫠 I’m still spotting but my intense lower back and pelvic pressure has mostly subsided now 😐 We’ll see how the next 24 hours plays out! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
@ashamarie2 oh I hope the sweep works for you! This is the first time I've ever had a membrane sweep. I was about 2cm and baby was still pretty high so I'm shocked it worked for me!
@nsk489 still no baby! Haha but I have made some progress in that I’m losing my mucus plug in big chunks and the bloody show has begun. Im remaining hopeful that something will happen within the next 24 hours since my mom is here watching our toddler. Knowing our luck the moment she heads home, she’ll have to turn around 😅
Congrats @nsk489! I was hoping I’d see good news from you when I checked in!
No baby here. C section is scheduled for Wednesday and I am beyond ready. I was really crampy today but doesn’t appear to mean anything other than I’m extra uncomfortable.
