Upcoming Appointments: last follow up ultrasound on Friday!
How are you feeling? Like he’s constantly king fu fighting my insides. I worry a bit for how much worse it’s going to get with how active he is. Also the feeling constantly out of breath and like there is an elephant on my chest has started. Still super tired. And itchy. And congested.
Rants/Raves: I finally told my other work team on Friday. They are planning a get together next month and someone suggested the theme park near-ish us and me and another were like “no, I can’t participate…” turns out she’s pregnant too and due in Feb.
Also my MIL messed with the thermostat when she was over a couple nights ago and our AC unit froze up. DH and I have told her not to touch it since it’s temperamental (lol) but she doesn’t listen or care. Had to turn the whole thing off to de-ice/dry it out and now it smells funky whenever it kicks on and it’s driving me nuts. We’re going to have to take the damn thing apart, vacuum/clean with vinegar and dry it out. It’s supposed to be 100 today and humid as hell. I’m beyond pissed off. We have the thing set very reasonably considering I’m pregnant and freaking always overheated so it was completely unnecessary for her to mess with it for the 2 hours she was here.
Questions: nope
GTKY: How would you describe your interior design aesthetic/style? Modern but comfortable. Not stark/sterile, but more cool tones for sure. I love grey which makes me the cliche millennial but 🤷♀️🤣.
I love clean lines and minimalism. Hate marble and chair rails. lol. Don't understand the weird accent walls with shiplap, breadboard or the geometric designs made with decorative wood. Think of all the dust that freaking hides in there. ::shudders::

How are you feeling? Nagging mid and low back pain and agree with @thatbaintforbetty that there is a kickboxing match happening inside of me currently. I love it but also nervous for how much stronger the hits might get and especially once she moves up into my rib cage more.
Rants/Raves: Rave - We're having an early-ish shower later this month due to people getting busy with holidays and a December due date. Some little things from our registry have started arriving and it is making it feel so exciting and real! Rant - my husband lost his car keys this weekend and I had to drive 5 hrs round trip to bring his spare key to him after he had been out of town all weekend on my day off. First road trip while having my bladder stomped on internally was not so fun lol.
GTKY: How would you describe your interior design aesthetic/style? I used the terms "cozy transitional" when planning furniture and decor for our current house. A lot of antique wood pieces, but with cozy couches and fabrics, airy colors. Hint of grandma's house with a touch of today's style.
Upcoming Appointments: Today for 30w, growth scan @ 32w
How are you feeling? My kids go to forest school one half day a week during the school year, and today is their first day day so I’m getting to run my quick errands solo and sit in the waiting room quietly/pee in a cup without an audience. I keep thinking I should go get a treat when I’m done? 😝
Rants/Raves: I just splurged my birthday money on nursing bras & tops — wow they’ve come a long way even since my 5yo was a newborn, but I also keep thinking I just hope nursing works out for us.
Questions:
GTKY: How would you describe your interior design aesthetic/style? Modern French country?? Neutrals with wood, forest green and gold accents, but like practical and whip-you-up-a-delicious-snack-quick hospitable. Bahaha yes @thatbaintforbetty they can pry grey out of my cold millennial hands.

How are you feeling? No kung fu masters or kickboxing over here, but I am finally feeling bubbles on a semi-regular basis! Especially when I lie flat on my stomach, because yep, still refusing to give that up. I have hella swollen ankles at the moment thanks to flights over the weekend, but I trust they’ll go back to normal eventually (they were almost there on Monday, then our return flight Tuesday morning inflated them again).
TW: TMI
The swelling was noticeable enough when I got up this morning that I could feel the tops of my feet jiggling with every step 🥴
Rants/Raves: Either I really popped just in the last week or I’ve been delulu for a while now 😂 I’ve been convinced I don’t really look pregnant, but on Sunday I visited a friend I hadn’t seen in years and hadn’t told about the pregnancy and she clocked me instantly.
Questions:
GTKY: I go for geometric details over floral, asymmetry in wall art, and love a bold pop of color. The age of my house means I’ve been mostly delving into art deco-inspired decor and transitional design recently.
How are you feeling? I'm tired again. send help. I feel borderline narcoleptic lol I sit on the couch and almost immediately wanna curl up for a nap. our eldest started school this week so we're all adjusting to a new schedule.
Rants/Raves:it was so nice and cool for a few days and now it's getting warm again and I hate it. I just want cooler weather.
Questions:n/a
GTKY: Mid-century modern 🥰 it's so warm and inviting. unfortunately I moved into my husband's home that he's lived in since he was 3, and we inherited his mother and grandmothers and grandfather's things, so there isn't much room for me to express my interior style.
Upcoming Appointments: 9/5 for monthly apt will probably get glucose and other apts set
How are you feeling? Ok? The hormonal cry because nothing is getting done happened to me this weekend and I’m steel reeling from that feeling 😅
Rants/Raves: oh the kickboxing and dancing he loves to dance right when I’m laying down and he found where he can kick my downstairs nerve and does it when I least expect it. I’ve randomly hunched over a few times already because of it lol
Also, idk if anyone else has been bothered or noticed it when they talk to friends/family but it’s been really bothering me lately how everyone is romanticizing me l having a boy. It’s just been rubbing me the wrong way lately. Or the fact people only want to see me because I’ll finally have ‘a belly/be fat’. It’s a struggle to handle mentally.
Questions: mm none so far
GTKY: How would you describe your interior design aesthetic/style? I prefer the modern costal look. I gravitate toward the blues but I’ve been trying to incorporate a pop of color like orange into my decor as of late
How are you feeling? Large. So large. Exhausted. Out of breath. And dealing with nad sciatica and RLP.
Rants/Raves: I had two days of decent energy and motivation and decided to reschedule our days and revamp our homeschooling stuff a bit. Three days later... so much regret. Im so tired. But my boys have done really well with it so I can't stop now.🫠
Questions: Na.
GTKY: How would you describe your interior design aesthetic/style? Oh man. Eclectic farmhouse, but actually lived in and usable. Not the Pinterest perfect pretty kind. 🤣
Wife. Boy mom x6. Expecting #7. Wannabe homesteader. , 💙💙💙💙💙💙
How are you feeling? I feel good. At that sweet spot with energy but not massively uncomfortable yet. I am counting down the weeks till I’m no longer pregnant (…and when I meet baby, that too lol). I can do 12 weeks. I can do it. 😅
Rants/Raves: I feel so unmotivated to work. Am I already checked out and nesting? Probably. I just want to organize baby clothes and lay.
Questions:
GTKY: How would you describe your interior design aesthetic/style?
Ive really enjoyed reading all of your answers!! Makes me want to see your homes or at least your dream Pinterest board haha.
For me, coastal colors and features with primarily traditional/craftsman bones. I need functionality for sure. We’re currently redoing our front room (which is a play room for the kids). It has gorgeous huge windows, wood floors and trim, high ceilings. It’s very old lol. Not changing any of those features, just learning to work with it to make the room functional for toys and storage and crafts. Painting the walls, etc.
Super late on this week's, but i wanted to check in!

How are you feeling? Exhausted and out of breath. I can't do anything anymore without getting out of breath. I'm also nervous because at 27 weeks, I feel like I have to have more ready in my home for baby girl, and I have nothing done. I had an emergency c-section at 34 weeks last time so I am super anxious. Plenty of Kung fu fighting going on over here. Lol pelvic girdle pain is out of control, and these pregnancy dreams are WILD. 😂
Rants/Raves: I guess I could have ranted about having nothing done lol
Questions: what are your go-to make ahead meals? I want to get a bunch of meals in the freezer so I don't have to worry about stuff in December.
GTKY: How would you describe your interior design aesthetic/style? Um. Lived in and comfy? Toys everywhere? Lol I don't really have a style, except for comfy. My home is lived in and I like to think it's welcoming.
@bridgiebee82 I love this question because I’m always looking for new batch prep meals.
Some faves: crockpot chicken thighs cooked in broth, then portion and literally use for whatever — bbq chicken bowls, tacos, toss into soup, eat over whole roasted sweet potatoes. I feel like meat is always the time consumer and this cuts that out. 🙌
Also one-pot (Dutch oven size) pasta and hidden veggies with meat sauce…I’ve pieced it together from several places but I bet there’s a dozen recipes out there.
High protein Greek yogurt muffins (we’re on a banana/PB/chocolate chip kick) for an easy breakfast or snack.

@bridgiebee82 We just stocked the freezer for our two-month-long kitchen remodel and I kind of used it as a test run for December Things I plan make and freeze again:
- breakfast burritos (I used this recipe from Smitten Kitchen)
- lasagna, enchiladas, and honestly most casserole-style dishes freeze really well
- tomato soup, lentil soup, chicken and rice* soup, really all the soups
- tamales
- fully cooked meatballs
- superhero muffins (a lightly adapted version of the classic recipe is available here)
- lactation cookies (tons of recipes online, I've just stuck with this one that I tried first, though I change up the mix-ins for flavor combos like chocolate chip + pecan, white chocolate + macadamia nut, pistachio + coconut flakes)
*FWIW I've found that brown rice holds its texture much, much better than white rice varieties in the freezer.
@bridgiebee82 so excited for postpartum during the winter months, I will be freezing all the soups, stews, and chili to reheat. Twice baked potatoes also freeze pretty well and it's nice that you can take 1 or 2 out to defrost at a time, pair with some sort of protein. For breakfast, frozen protein pancakes / waffles / muffins or breakfast sandwiches on english muffins or bagels.
