How are you feeling?: I started out feeling good. I felt mostly fine yesterday but today I have been on the verge of vomiting several times. I have recovered some after eating some mashed potatoes. Food in general sounds nasty. I do have more energy than last week.
Rants/Raves: there is definitely a cold feel to the air today. Even though it’s sunny I can feel the coldness. Termination dust is on the mountains in the distance so the snow is on its way. I’m excited for slow, quieter days but I’m also sad my summer is over.
How are you feeling?: Not horrible but I get hit with such intense waves of fatigue that I need to lie down immediately. I’m also in a constant cycle of either queasiness or ravenous hunger, and I’ve had terrible gas pains lately.
Rants/Raves: it’s my husband’s birthday tomorrow so we have some fun things planned, including my daughter’s first Broadway show! Then on Thursday we head out on vacation, so it’s just a lot of last minute things over here.
Upcoming Appointments: nothing until sept 12 because my Dr is on vacation starting next week. It's on my to do list tomorrow though to call and see if I can see the other dr at the office sooner because that's 6 weeks between appointments
How are you feeling?: oof. Nauseous and like I cannot get enough rest. The last 5 days we have been visiting the in law's I get along with (younger BIL, his wife, DH's grandparents and aunts) which was amazing but I feel totally drained. I couldn't hardly stay up with the "grown ups" chatting in the evening, I was in bed shortly after the kids. The nausea hits before I eat and after I eat. Also I feel winded? Like third trimester winded. It's super weird.
Rants/Raves: got a quote on fixing our home water system (we have a well), $14k! It's kinda one of those things we are like well, I guess. Not much choice in that matter. We are always so back and forth on if we are going to move or if this is our "forever home" it's hard to dump that much money into somewhere we aren't for sure going to stay long term but it will add a lot of value to the house and it's eligible for a tax credit
Questions: I SWEAR I felt baby move. Google says that's impossible but I'm 100% sure it wasn't gas. Only has happened once so far when I was lying flat on my back
@lizdiane456 I'm 9w2 and SWEAR I felt a tiny flop this morning! If I was just a few weeks further I would be convinced for sure. It was down in the front by my left hip. It definitely wasn't gas for me either but I get weird muscle twitches and it's possible it was that, though usually my muscle twitches are more than just one little flicker.
Upcoming Appointments: I have one on 8/19 for my last US at the IVF clinic before "graduating" to the regular OB. We saw the HB at 6w2d, so hoping for good growth and that my hemorrhagic corpus lutem on my right ovary is resolved!
How are you feeling?: Feeling tired, nauseous and short of breath. I work as a pediatric PT so Im moving around a lot during the day and I can feel my HR elevating and getting short of breath much more than usual. Im going to sleep at like 8:30 every night lol I tried to explain to my husband what I feel like every day, I said it feels like I had the stomach flu yesterday, like I don't need to throw up right this second and food sounds gross but Im also worn out/starving at the same time... anyone else relate?!
Rants/Raves: My older 3 kids started back to school this week. YAY! I have a 5th, 3rd, and 1st grader. Last year with them all in the same building, so we are looking forward to it.
Questions: No questions, just happy we are all getting closer to the end of the first trimester, day by day, hour by hour
EDD / Weeks + Days: Had my first US today. LMP date is 8w3d and baby measured 9w0d today. Not sure if doc will change due date or not. Thinking no? Not sure.
Team blue/pink/green: Blue per sneak peek
Upcoming Appointments: next Friday to meet with Dr. Hoping she orders NIPT and tells me what to expect for “advanced maternal age”
How are you feeling?: relieved to see baby and HB today. 175 HR. Waves of nausea and my cravings change daily 😆
Rants/Raves: annoyed they didn’t give me a printout photo today- only delivered digital via an app. Great for sharing, but I want at least one printed one! The photos are meh too- can’t really see it’s a baby, but I know it’s early. She said too soon to hear HB so I was only able to see it.
Questions: anybody ever taken Wellbutrin while pregnant? I’ve been on since 2023, but it does worry me. Will check with Dr. but I get 50/50 basically on any research.
@robinj716 I’m not on Wellbutrin but I am on Lexapro, and my doctor was not concerned - he was far more concerned about my mental health going untreated.
@robinj716 I talked with my psych specifically about Wellbutrin in pregnancy. She said it wasn’t a hard no but something to weigh the pros and cons. I’m currently doing lexapro and decided to stick with that thru pregnancy as long as I stay stable. She gave me this handout for more info, so maybe this can be helpful for you too, so you can ask your doctor specific questions and make the best decision for you
@fifilala516 I did Lexapro for my second before, during and after and I was okay. I think it helped a lot. I was even considering asking to switch to Lexapro and wean off Wellbutrin.
@beachmama14 thank you! I’ll read the info and def. Ask Friday at my appt. I did Lexapro with the second and did great on it. The weaning of medicine scares me!
@robinj716 SSRIs are generally considered better for pregnancy over NDRIs (Wellbutrin) BUT it comes down to effectiveness for mom. Definitely talk to you dr about what different options there are and pros and cons of each but remember at the end of the day, you need to be ok for baby to be ok ❤️
Anyone showing yet?! Idk why but I'm either ridiculously bloated, I got fatter, or I'm definitely showing. Lol who am I kidding, it's all 3. Today I haven't vomited! It's a huge victory. I've been on shakes all day and it's helped so much. Have some more bloodwork next week. Baby is growing so fast.
@blossomingmama for me it’s mostly bloat. The baby is still in the pelvis. The baby doesn’t come up and over the pubic bone until the start of second trimester. So pushing organs and fat out of the way? Yes but not the actually baby. I’m only 8 weeks though. So depends on how far along you are.
My tracker says size of lime, 11 weeks 1 day, but my OB said 10 weeks 1 day based off measurement. Definitely bloat! I'm ready to get some energy back, and get out of these rough weeks. I also have to go out and get some maternity lounge shorts because these shorts I've got are just so uncomfortable and tight. Found some stuff on old navy, hoping they're decent and can last me entire pregnancy.
On another note, anyone got some fall recipes they're already trying out or bringing back? I saw this apple pie type croissant that looked delicious the other day I'd love to try. I love apple pie.
