Kids with terrible names are mainly the kids that ask to be called something else in school. They are embarrassed by what their parents name them. Believe me, I've worked in education for years and the nicknames/preferred names have come from kids with names that are not normal.
Imagine being a teenager going through the hardest years of life (junior high/highschool) the teasing, "oh honey Buns" "hey honey bunny"
Not my kid, I agree, but I see how aweful kids can be and the embarrassment that can be put upon a child with bad names. Teachers, principals, staff, other adult figures can only do so much.
Also, you chose to post on a public forum, you get public responses. Even those that you do not like.
@knottie0188ed15e5469e6f sorry but you have been reported. Name calling is against the TOUs. I do not troll. If you actually see these boards, no one responds to posts. There are some, yes I'm upfront and honest, just as I'm honest with people in real life. I do not name call. I may have different perspective as others. There is nothing wrong with that. A public forum you risk getting responses you don't like.
I think it's sweet together. It reminds me of childhood storybook vibes - Bentley and Honey.
Considerations - * Bentley is a classic and refined name and honey is a little more warm, affectionate, playful, so vibes are a little different. * Honey is used in many ways by different people (the food, a way of affection between partners), so other people might think Honey is more a nickname. I still think it's cute though, just got to consider that.
Names with the same style - Goldie, Dolly, Birdie
Also... If you do want to use Honey as more a nickname I think Honora is a great option, nickname Honey. Or.. you could do a hyphenated first name, so it gives her more options in the future, like Honey-Rose. Just thought I'd but the suggestions out there, but go with you gut. Let me know what you decide.
I like it. My kids call their grandma honey. It is sweet and as you said she can go by her middle name. My grandma had a sophisticated 1st name and always went by her unsophisticated middle name. I like honey it's not super common and easy to spell and speak. I think it pairs well with Bentley. A very good duo in my opinion.
Pay no mind to certain comments on here. They have 1 kid and perpetually use this app years later. It's infuriating and the admin does nothing. Some people can't be touched by kindness and speak of humanity. 🤣 high road momma, even though you're the hormonal one. 💛
Re: Sibling name
Humanity wonders why kids want to go by different names
