First Time Mom-To-Be

Hi! I’m Alexis, and my due date is about October 24. I’m very nervous and very excited! Definitely hoping to find some friends here to help me through my journey. It still feels kind of surreal to me.

Hi Alexis! I feel the same way--very surreal. I got my first ultrasound today and when I was looking at the pictures afterward, I found myself saying, "How is this even possible?" It really is a miracle!

I know, right!? It’s so surreal, I’ve about got imposter syndrome, like how am I going to have a kid!? I’d love it if we could help each other through the process!
  • How about all of us first-timers just use this as a first-time thread? I really will need all the support I can get!
  • I’ve really been having bad nausea lately. Does anyone know a trick to deal with it?
  • For nausea - I really struggled and all the tips I’d find out there like having ginger and eating as soon as you wake up etc didn’t really work for me. On my worst days it seemed like constantly snacking on crackers and sipping on body armor helped (it had b6 which is supposed to be good for nausea). Definitely did not make it go away but it got me by. It started going away at 13 weeks so just hang in there as it’ll pass eventually ❤️
also if you’re dealing with heartburn too, my midwife recommended papaya enzyme instead of tums and that seemed to help.
  • For me, nothing helped too, and it got to a point, when I couldn't eat a thing.
My doctor prescribed me "cariban" which helped A LOT

Thank you SO SO much! ❤️ I am going to try every single thing you said! And yes, I’m getting some pretty annoying heartburn, too! Really hope your suggestions work!☺️ I’ll keep you updated on how it goes! ❤️ also I’m going to try to make it a point from now on to check in here at least once a day! I really want to build this into a helpful little community for all of us! To you and anyone else following this thread, I love all of you! ❤️
  • I am 20 weeks pregnant. On and off I suffers from nausea all the time. The only thing that is helping me to eat something is 'no to mòrning siçknëss têa' on amazon. Its peach ginger has refreshing taste and smell. It has been a lifesaver for me this pregnancy.

Thank you! I will try that, too! ❤️ seriously everyone here is so helpful, I could cry🥲
  • This is my first as well! I’m due 10/7/25. So nice to connect with other first timers! Hope everyone’s pregnancies are going well! 💕
  • This is my first as well! I’m due 10/18. It still doesn’t really feel real to me even though I have a visible bump…I’ve been lucky with the nausea but the ligament pain has been intense. Glad to have a little community of first timers!
  • Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms to be ☺️ I’ve been dealing with doctors a lot lately trying to avoid complications, but I’m back & I hope to be posting regularly! 😁 welcome to everyone new here! ❤️

Welcome back! How are you doing? I hope everything is going well. I'm currently learning how to sleep comfortably because I've always been a stomach sleeper and my stomach is getting too big for that lol 😂

  • Hello! I have a question. I have blood pressure on the lower side. But I've started getting light headed after eating, it's almost like my blood sugar drops? Doesn't make sense to me, just wondering if anyone here has the same or if you know what this might be! I'll see doctor in a couple of weeks :)
  • I'm due 10/7 as well! 💕
  • Hello & congratulations, FTM due on 10/16, hope everyone is doing great so far. For Nausea and many other pregnancy related topics I generally refer to pregnancy coach bundle of joy, its like my go to place for all such topics. Always available with me in my text messages.

It definitely takes a while to feel real. Wishing you a smooth and happy pregnancy. You’re in the right place for support.
  • Thank you! Needed that.🥰
  • I want to thank everyone here! I am definitely going to TRY to post more frequently, but it’s been hard to do everything by myself. Despite that, I LOVE being pregnant and I’m considering doing a solo pregnancy shoot when my due date is closer as a special treat to me, if anyone is interested in that🥰🥰
  • I have a photo shoot lined up for September 15🥰
