We cut DHs hair tonight. Nothing special just clippers at like an inch out.
But I always forget how good he looks with short hair (his hair grows ridiculously fast, and he usually doesn’t get it cut often enough for it to stay short, he also looks good with it longer, so it’s really whatever he feels like dealing with).
I’m a little sad that I’m still on pelvic rest because the pregnancy dreams have me all sorts of frustrated and this isn’t helping.
🤣
look at this pile of hair, his was actually longer/thicker than mine

It seems to me that the current fashion trend during pregnancy is to not wear maternity clothes. I see all these influencers saying “I just sized up in my regular jeans!” Or “you can wear the same pair of linen pants all through pregnancy and postpartum”
Riddle me this. In the fall I bought thong underwear size S, and today I bought full coverage undies size XXL. that’s 4 sizes up. I can’t just “size up” in my pants- I need new underwear, new bras, new SHOES. Everything.
And maybe it’s just my body type but wearing pants that hit mid belly is horribly uncomfortable for me. Yet it seems like that’s the style? Sorry but I need the full panel Motherhood Maternity pants. 😂
This is all super annoying to me because it feels wasteful to buy clothes I’ll only need for 6 mo (this is my last pregnancy I hope haha). I know its necessary but geez… I hate clearing out a perfectly good wardrobe every 3 months bc nothing fits anymore.
and don’t even get me started on postpartum. You think your old clothes will fit but for me there’s always a full year of awkward “is THIS my size now?”.. It’s ok that my body will be different after having a baby, but what’s hard is not ever being sure WHAT size you are. Between pregnancy and postpartum and BF etc. it’s hard to know when your body will stop changing enough to invest in a solid pair of jeans.
And DH can wear the same jeans from high school!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh. I digress.
@brookejay06 I feel you so much! this is my last pregnancy too. And I am having a hard time also with clothes. My pre-pregnancy pants definitely do NOT fit, except for my leggings and only because I fold them under the belly. I really do not want to spend a bunch of money on clothes that I will wear for 6 months and be done with.
I’m trying to stretch my supply of flowy dresses as far as I can and hope that the long layering tanks +sweaters will get me through winter. Thankfully it doesn’t get too cold where I’m at, I don’t have to deal with snow or anything.
I have a hard time with pants that hit mid belly when I’m not pregnant, like how is that comfortable? I am also weirdly shaped and often look pregnant when I’m not because of how/where I hold weight so clothes have always been a pain in the ass. Also my shirts will not work with the belly and the extra freaking cup size or two that I’ve gained. I was a DD, I did NOT need more boobs. But sizing up shirts does not get you a ton of length and that what is needed so I don’t get the whole concept of just go up one. I’ve never made it past 6 weeks with breastfeeding, so Ive never needed to really accommodate for it but I seriously can imagine the annoyance at needing yet another wardrobe.

@brookejay I cackled at dressing like a slug! 🤣 I feel you on the clothes! Can you try looking on your local FB Buy Nothing group for maternity clothes? I get a ton of stuff from there.
I had the 16 week ultrasound yesterday. It’s a follow up because of the fifths disease exposure and my test results.
Baby looks great! Overactive and big headed just like his siblings.
But I will need level 2 follow ultrasounds every two weeks for the next 8 weeks(!) to ensure no issues arise. And if they do, it’s treatable, although scary and would send us to a specialist in another city.
He also apparently has a minor issue with his umbilical cord, it’s a multi vein single aorta instead of a multi vein multi aorta? And it can lead to growth restrictions later on, which I was already told I would be monitored for because of other issues. It apparently happens in like 4% of pregnancies and can be seen in a slightly higher instance of fetus’ with Down syndrome but we already had a more accurate test for that and other anomalies that came up negative for it.
I was already a giant ball of nerves and while it’s mostly good news it still a lot that could be an issue, or could end up being no issue. There isn’t really anything I can do except keep on with all the things I’m already doing and hope for the best. I do feel that they are doing everything they can and that I am under the best care I can be. But it’s all a waiting game now and I hate it.

@thatbaintforbetty I hope the waiting goes by fast for you and everything continues to be ok.
i can totally relate with the clothes thing girls. Every pregnancy has been different and it’s hard to tell how much or little you will grow and then breastfeeding after…..I have never been able to just lose the weight and my body clings to the weight plus some.
