When did you get your first ultrasound done?

I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks and called to make an appointment and they had me come in at 8 weeks for confirmation. Now I go back on the 7th when I'm 10w5d for the nipt so I'll be seeing what the gender is and all that. when did you find out you're pregnant?

4w2d is when I could go to the doctor for confirmation but all they did was take my pee, that’s how they confirmed it. Didn’t even do any blood tests to check Hcg or anything, I asked if they would but they said they didn’t see a need to.

With my first, I got my ultrasound at 8weeks. My subsequent pregnancies have been between 12 and 14 weeks. Going in at eight weeks was a bit early. I still had my yolk sack and I couldn’t tell which was the baby and which was the sack. The other ultrasounds showed what looked more like a baby. 🙃 It is so hard to wait, though!!!

That's a crazy long time to have to wait! But yes I'm getting the blood work to check for any genetic abnormalities and see the gender. It takes a week or so for results to come back so I'm getting antsy. I had a nightmare the results came back with a girl and she had like 5 things wrong with her that would shorten her life. I know it's just my own brain doing it to me but I still can't wait to get the results to be sure everything is going to be alright.

I go to a midwife, so she typically wouldn't schedule an ultrasound except the 20 week one. Due to my history she was more then willing to give me an early one. I am waiting till 17 weeks though anyway. Knowing early will not change the outcome anyways.🙃

My last pregnancy I only got one ultrasound at 20 weeks for the anatomy check and I think I plan to do the same for this pregnancy

My first OB appointment they will do an ultrasound. July 21st is my appointment.

Because my husband and I went through IVF, it puts me at a slightly higher risk, and therefore baby needs to be monitored more often. I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks, and I got to see their little heart beating. They were developing just as they should. I go back in next week for a week 10 ultrasound, and then again two weeks later for a 12 week.
