Big baby / induction advice ?

Hi , I’m currently 34 weeks and few days and at my dr appointment my baby is measuring one week ahead and weighing 5lb 15oz . The dr said my baby is big so he wants to have me induced at 38 weeks . 3rd pregnancy I’ve never been induced both my last 2kids came at 38 weeks . Im worried to be induced and just make everything/labor complicated for me . 😬 looking for some advice or moms who have had induction for big babies ?

    I was induced last time due to gestational diabetes and expected large baby. He ended up only being 8lbs 8oz, but I did have a 4 day long failed induction that resulted in a c-section. I would go based on how your body is progressing at that point. I was not dilated or showing any progress toward labor on my own- and my body just would not be convinced. I would think if you have had other babies at 38 weeks on your own, and naturally tend to go early and are showing some progress, you would likely have a much more successful experience.
