Pregnancy Week 11-15 Air Travel (1st Trimester)

Hello, I have to take flights in Week 12 of about 3 hours & 2 hours and in Week 14 around 1.5 hours. Heard till Week 12, air travel might be risky. I am freaking out but I am moving countries so there will back and forth.

Please share experience of flights during first trimester, what precautions you took, what did you carry, did you face any symptoms or challenges?

I totally get the anxiety—I had to take a couple of flights during my first trimester too (around Week 11 and 13), and I was nervous at first. My OB gave me the go-ahead since my pregnancy was low-risk, but I made sure to take a few precautions. I stayed super hydrated, wore compression socks, and got up to stretch my legs regularly. I also brought snacks, ginger chews (for nausea), and a neck pillow to stay comfortable. The flights went smoother than I expected, just felt a little more tired than usual. As long as your doctor clears it, short flights like yours should be manageable—just listen to your body and take it easy. Also, I booked my trip through hotwire, and they were honestly great—super helpful when I had questions about changes and flexible options. You can reach them at their customer phone number. Definitely made the whole travel planning part less stressful!
