Transitioning from Breastmilk to Formula

My 8 month old has had breastmilk since birth. Recently, my milk supply has been dropping, and I tried to introduce formula just in case we needed to make the transition. I first tried straight up formula.... Bad idea. But then I mixed about 2oz of formula with 4oz of breastmilk. She despised it. I'm worried because I'm basically tied down to being with her at all times because she won't have formula and we ran out of additional breastmilk supply. Any tips?

    Try first fortifying the bottle with only 1 tsp of formula! That’s what we did just to get her some extra calories and then slowly started introducing more. Also do you warm the formula up? Lastly it can take some time to find a formula your baby likes. Sometimes the pediatrician will have samples so you don’t have to waste money buying a full can. Good luck mama, you got this!
