We are having a boy and my husband wants to name him Bruce after his late grandfather. I’m just not on board. Our 6 year old wants to name him Trevor and I have no idea.
So far we have not talked about it because I’m not sure how to tell him for the 3rd time it’s still not happening..
We still don’t know what we’re having yet but if they’re a girl, we’ll probably name her either Mary or Rosemary. Rosemary is my mom’s favorite herb, her mom was named Rose Marie and my dad’s mom was named Mary. My step grandma is named Mary Lou. I adore all of my grandmas so I’d have to honor them in that way and I’ve always liked the name Mary.
If baby is a boy, we’re thinking about Benjamin, but will need to do some more thinking about that one. We had a big list for when our son was born, but now I’ve found myself not liking any of them lol
My husband & I have casually been keeping a list of names we like since we were dating. This name had always been at the top of the list so we’re using it for our first!
According to the google, Sylvia has Latin roots and means “forest”.
I’m American and my husband is Egyptian. Finding a name that is suitable in English, Arabic, and is a name with roots in Islam (important for my husband) has been challenging. After much debate we finally settled on Noah. It’s pronounced slightly differently in Arabic but all friends and family we will use the English pronunciation.
I chose the name Kelton if it's a Boy. I think it's cool and unique. My spouse doesn't like it, he joked " what like he's going to wear a kilt? " I'm like, what of it? I'm part Scottish heritage anyways. I just love the name and can't imagine another one. How can we compromise? He didn't pick any names I liked either 😅 For a girl I like Ada, I haven't asked him what he thinks of it yet. 🤣 We don't know the gender yet. I looked up the meaning, " Spring Village " which is so fitting if it's a Boy because my due date is in the Spring . And it's actually olde English, not Scottish. Lol
Musical lovers will be intrigued to learn that singer Roy Orbison's middle name is Kelton. ( Now I'm really sold on it lol )
Re: Baby names
my late father’s name was Roy so we wanted to include him in there ❤️
