9 weeks 2 days feel sickly

This is my first pregnancy at 31 and it was a total surprise as my partner and I thought for years it would never happen for us naturally. Well it has, and it's been wonderful, but I've been so tired all the time and the nausea and constipation wear me down. Today I had the sickly feeling like when you have the flu, like body aches and the uneasy feeling in the stomach. I took a nap then woke up and nausea kicked in so I ordered some carry out then felt better after eating. I'm struggling to eat anything at home due to the smells from cooking. Meat is especially terrible, even thinking of it makes me want to vomit. I hope in the next couple weeks it gets better. I'll be happy to know the gender in a few weeks and I'm ready to get a bit more energy back!

  • Congratulations on your pregnancy — what a beautiful surprise after thinking it might not happen naturally! I can totally relate to what you're going through. During my first trimester, I also felt completely wiped out all the time, and the nausea was relentless. I basically lived off carry out for weeks. One thing that really helped me was the Lemon Ginger No to Morning Sickness Tea. I’d sip it slowly when I felt that flu-like nausea creeping in, and it honestly made a huge difference. It’s super gentle on the stomach and helped with my digestion and even some of the bloating. I hope things ease up for you soon — the second trimester can bring such a welcome boost of energy and comfort. Hang in there! 💛
