2nd Trimester

not eating

i’m early in my second trimester and have been not eating for a while now. in the beginning of my pregnancy i ate a lot as expected and then i became nauseous, and began not eating. my ob advised that i take vitamin b6 and that’s been helping. im not quite as nauseous anymore but my appetite has not returned. some days i dont eat anything except a small breakfast in the morning. what to do 🥺

I don’t have much of an appetite either. By this time with my son I was eating a lot and hungry all the time, but this time I rarely feel hungry and have to remind myself to eat. I’ve been just keeping myself on a schedule that I have to eat at least something for breakfast, lunch and dinner, even if it’s just a small salad or fruit.

I’ve been dealing with the same thing. During my first trimester I was sooo hungry and now that I’m in my second trimester I’m less hungry if anything I’ll have a low caffeine Starbucks drink in the morning and won’t get hungry until the afternoon.. I know this isn’t healthy for the baby so I’ll try to drink a smoothie like one of those Naked juices and fruit. Don’t worry, just try and drink high calorie beverages and maybe toast and avocado 😇 that’s been helping me feel less guilty

Totally understand what you're going through—early second trimester can be such a weird phase. I went through something similar and found that small, nutrient-dense snacks helped more than big meals. I also tried some whole food supplements from Paleovalley during that time, which were gentle on my stomach. If you’re unsure what might work for you, I’d suggest to contact paleovalley—they were really helpful when I had questions about ingredients and safety during pregnancy
