After the fiasco at the doctor's on Monday and not being able to get an ultrasound, I got the bloodwork results email in the middle of the night and my Hcg numbers weren't good. Only 8500 when 3 weeks ago they were 2100. So my doctor fit me in for an ultrasound this morning. Baby is only measuring 5+4 and no heartbeat. They are making me wait a week for another ultrasound if I don't miscarry by then. I know there's no way the baby is only 5 weeks which means it stopped growing a few weeks ago.
This being our first, we were both so excited and obviously heartbroken now. We both still feel hesitantly optimistic for the future though and will probably start trying again soon after the miscarriage happens. Seeing some of you with healthy pregnancies now after experiencing your own losses has given me hope. Thank you all for answering my questions and good luck to the rest of you on your pregnancies.
