Name help please, baby girl arrives in 5 days!!
Delivery date got bumped up by a few weeks, and my husband and I are still debating on our short list for baby girl. This anxious mama would love to have her name decided before surgery. I need some opinions that aren't from family, as they get too attached and then grumpy when name isn't picked lol. Either go with your gut, or read on for some more info on our family. We're open to suggestions, but really aiming to narrow down, not add!! Any advice/thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. xx
Some background:
We like a classy/vintage name, recognizable but not heard often, that has nickname options.
Our last name is Scottish, 3 syllables, starts with Mac.
Sibling name - August Neal, goes by Gus
Ruth and Jean are family names, would like to use either for middle.
My name, my son's name, and my niece's name all start with A... too many A names on this list?
* Annemarie Ruth Mac------ (nn Annie)
* Adelaide Ruth Mac------ (nn Lady)
* Maren Jean Mac------ (nn Ren, MJ)
* Charlotte Jean Mac------ (nn Lottie)
Re: Annemarie, Adelaide, Maren, or Charlotte?
Maren Jean - Modern but classic, soft whilst also strong, Ren and MJ are cool nicknames, no A name gives her uniquiness.
Annemarie Ruth - Elegant, vintage, Annie is such a cute nickname, feels underused but still familiar. It is another A name though so that's up to you, but I love it.
Adelaide Ruth - another A name, nickname Lady might raise a few eyebrows or seem odd in some situations. Idk, not feeling it.
Charlotte Jean - very common, safe name. Idk it's too common for me.
