Re: Weekly Check-In w/o May 5
FTM/STM/TTM+/it's complicated: 3rd
Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: finding out
Upcoming Appointments: 5/12 MFM & 5/16 viability
How are you feeling? Emotional, very exhausted, super anxious, a little achy/RLP, itchy, off and on nauseous
Rants/Raves: I’d give a kidney for a fountain coca-cola and brownie. Found out the only SIL we have any contact with is also pregnant and due 12/22, which I’m super happy for her since she’s wanted more kids. (Her oldest is 9 months younger than my oldest and she had a miscarriage earlier this year)
Questions: is anybody doing anything special to break the news to older kids? I want to do cupcakes or cake or something to reveal the sex to our other 2 when the time comes but I don’t have any ideas on how to tell them in general. (I’m assuming we won’t find out the sex till 20 weeks but if we find out sooner I think I’d just tell them with the reveal). I don’t want it to be a big production and I’m really only holding off on telling my family because they would not be able to keep from spilling the news to them. (Intentionally or accidentally)
GTKY: What's that one song that never fails to put you in a good mood (turns a bad day around, gets you pumped up, etc.)? Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros or Wild Horses by The Sundays. We played both at our wedding and they will always lift my spirit.

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: probably finding out, but I'd like to be team green!
Upcoming Appointments: TOMORROW! 5/6 I have my 9 week scan. I'm so nervous.
How are you feeling? Anxious, exhausted, nervous, nauseous. 24/7 nausea.
Rants/Raves: Since I am the most vocal in my family and friend circle about my previous losses, my friends who are not super open about theirs (which is 100% okay) come to me. I am so thankful to be a safe space for them, but my anxiety gets the best of me sometimes. Being pregnant now is making my anxiety worse, and all of these new losses popping up around me are making me spiral. So I am glad to be a safe space, but I'm annoyed that I feel like I have to hide my excitement about being pregnant again in order to protect theirs.
Questions: Does anyone have a knuckle sandwich for my husband and do you deliver? kidding. kind of. My hormones are all over the place lol
GTKY: What's that one song that never fails to put you in a good mood (turns a bad day around, gets you pumped up, etc.)? "Everybody" by the Backstreet Boys. Why? It's the only song I could think of that gets me pumped. My brain is complete mush anymore.
Third time mom
Team probably finding out at 20 weeks
Upcoming appts- in 2 weeks
Feeling? Tired. Chubby. Like my clothes don’t fit but I’m not obviously pregnant. Hungry a lot but no energy to cook so .. Taco Bell it is.

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: finding out
Upcoming Appointments: Had my first ultrasound today. Everything looked great. Measuring on track with a strong heart beat of 171
How are you feeling? I’m feeling good! Don’t hate me - but my symptoms have been pretty mild. No food adversions. I’m always hungry and tired (lol) with minimal nausea
Rants/Raves: Raving that I’ve had a healthy 7 weeks so far 🩷
Questions: NA

Upcoming Appointments: RE on 5/16, then OB on 5/28
How are you feeling? Relieved, mostly. Had our viability ultrasound this morning and didn’t realize how truly anxious I was until I was sitting in the exam room waiting and just couldn’t imagine we could receive good news. But delighted to report our little cashew is growing right on track with a happy little heartbeat!
Rants/Raves: I just ordered all of the fixtures for our kitchen remodel 🤗 I initiated the project shortly after our failed January FET when I was feeling like my life had totally stalled—and surprise, now very thankful to my past self for getting the ball rolling! Construction won’t start until mid-July but should be done well before baby’s anticipated arrival *knocks on wood*

- You Can Call Me Al, Paul Simon
- Wouldn’t It Be Nice, The Beach Boys
- Kiss Me, Sixpense None the Richer
- Tonight Tonight, Hot Chelle Rae

@brookejay06 My oldest friend visited this weekend so of course I pulled out all the old CDs she burned for me, which is how we learned we both still know all the lyrics to Must Have Done Something Right 😭 (just realized I tagged the wrong person here, d'oh!)

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding Out
Upcoming Appointments: first ultrasound on 5/19
How are you feeling? Tired, achy, queasy but no vomiting yet which honestly surprises me as I'm kind of a puke-y person. Despite struggling with insomnia and fatigue, my emotions have still been pretty positive and I've managed to keep the anxiety at bay.
Rants/Raves: I have completely lost my short term memory. I have to start writing more down at work because I forget a conversation 10 minutes later.
GTKY: What's that one song that never fails to put you in a good mood (turns a bad day around, gets you pumped up, etc.)? Mr. Brightside by The Killers
FTM/STM/TTM+/it's complicated: FTM
Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out
Upcoming Appointments: 5/24 for US, genetic testing
How are you feeling? Slightly less nauseous, a little more tired, still have sore boobs.
Rants/Raves: One of my closest friends that I met when I moved abroad just got a positive pregnancy test. We've relied on each other through the struggles of TTC, so this was such a blessing to hear!
GTKY: What's that one song that never fails to put you in a good mood (turns a bad day around, gets you pumped up, etc.)? There are so many... how can I choose one?! Have a list.
- Lone Digger by Caravan Palace
- Sofia by Alvaro Soler
- I'm Fine by BTS
- Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson
- Faster Ride by Cartel
FTM/STM/TTM+/it's complicated: 6TM
Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: green
Upcoming Appointments: first appt Wednesday!
How are you feeling? Tired, a little nauseous, anxious for the first appt and also knowing I’m not in the clear yet with everything 1st trimester
Rants/Raves: it’s Mother’s Day! 💜
GTKY: What's that one song that never fails to put you in a good mood (turns a bad day around, gets you pumped up, etc.)? I don’t even know….probably some songs I listened to in high school like “yeah” from usher or “the next episode” from Dr Dre. I’m showing my age here 😅
