Prenatal Vitamins

I am trying to figure out the best prenatal vitamin to take.

Re: Prenatal Vitamins

  • It really doesn’t matter what brand you take. Just make sure it has folic acid in it.

  • I was told folic acid along with DHA :)
  • I take PregVit (doc prescribed) because there is an a.m. pill and a p.m. pill to separate the iron and calcium.
  • Vitafol OB has iron/DHA :)
  • I'm enjoying the Jameson chewable prenatal. Only downside is it doesn't have the DHA so you need to take that separately (and those pills be HUGE!)
  • I think that there is no difference from which brand to buy pills
  • I got mine from amazon. The pills are easy to take and have no aftertaste. They contains folic acid, fish oils, iron, thiamine, choline, cholecalciferol, niacin, vitamin b12, e ,c omega 3 fatty acids and DHA.
  • tbh, I just went with whatever my doc recommended, but I've heard good things about the ones with DHA in them!

here's what the 'Heal Baby Care App' says....

"When choosing a prenatal vitamin, look for one that contains essential nutrients like folic acid, iron, calcium, and DHA. Folic acid is particularly important as it helps prevent neural tube defects. It's also beneficial to choose a vitamin that is easy for you to digest and doesn't cause nausea. Have you experienced any specific dietary restrictions or health concerns that might influence your choice?"
