December 2025 Babies

Symptoms

I’m all over the place. I had my first blood draw it was 108, second blood draw was 162 almost 48 hours later, which is not as much of an increase as it should be. Results posted online after everything was closed on Friday so I’ve been over analyzing all my symptoms ALL weekend. Cramps the whole time until today and they’ve spiked here or there, but pretty much gone, my boobs really only hurt if I touch them. We’ve been trying for three year, 6 medicate assisted cycles and 4 IUI’s. This is our first positive pregnancy test and I just want it to stick. Haven’t bleed or spotted at all and the stick still turns positive.

  • Yes, stay positive!! This is my first positive pregnancy test too - also through medicated IUI. My symptoms are also all over the place - and really only just cramps and a bit of fatigue. We have our first scan on Friday, so just trying to stay calm and positive :) I also have no spotting and my tests are still very positive. Are you able to see your doctor today?
  • Hang in there! Still so early and it can take 72 hours to double in a healthy pregnancy too. At 13dpo mine were 133 then 15dpo 205. Doctor said that was healthy and normal so we won’t have my first scan til about 8 weeks.

I was able to talk to a nurse on the phone today. They ordered new labs and my hcg jumped to 495 today. So relieved. So weird that all my symptoms are so subdued, but I’ll happily take the increase
  • Hang in there! I only ever had blood drawn to check my hcg levels after a loss, so I wouldn't know about numbers. Should I be asking my Dr for blood draws to be sure?

I suppose it’s up to your provider. I would ask, buts it’s all I know. I’ve been receiving assisted fertility and IUI. They still would only schedule my first ultrasound after the HCG was confirmed to be climbing correctly.

I did read on google…. If numbers stay climbing but low, there are support medications for you and if you have a history of MC you are considered for them sooner.
  • Thank you. I have had 2 losses, so I wonder if they will consider it.
  • Just a little bit of an update, as I can see a couple of others have had a medicated IUI. I am now 5w5d pregnant and yesterday I ended up in the ER because I had excruciating pain in my ovaries/abdomen. I was certain I was losing the baby. However, it turns out I have late onset OHSS (baby is tiny but fine). I didn't know that was a thing, but I'm glad they caught it as we were meant to fly long-haul in a couple of days (of course now we can't). Has anyone else had experiences with this?
  • 🤢😭 First time- week 7 is kicking my butt in the nausea/vomiting department anyone have any recommendations to alleviate these symptoms? I wanted to do home remedies first before going to my doct. My silly self decided to decline my doctors offer to write me a medication when I did my confirmation testing. So I feel silly calling in to ask for some.  I have jolly rangers on their way and liquid iv to keep my hydrated but any help is greatly appreciated
  • I like to have papaya enzyme chewable tablets on hand (you can order them on Amazon, even get them at your local pharmacy). They work better and quicker than tums, and they aren't chalky and gross.
