November 2025 Babies

First Time Mamas

I’m 6 weeks pregnant with my first and have our official appointment tomorrow! I’ve been slightly bloated for over a month (as if I was getting my period) but overnight look like I have a baby bump now. I read on the app that can happen from hormones and isn’t actually my baby bump and am wondering if anyone else has had this happen? I’m trying to make it until 3 months before announcing!

Re: First Time Mamas

• I definitely feel like I’m showing and it’s my first pregnancy. I guess it could just be bloating but my clothes already don’t fit.
• Loading the player...
• I'm so glad it's not just me 😂 Ordering lots of belly friendly dresses to try and disguise the bump
• Same. It’s my first and I think I am showing :/
•
You are definitely not alone in this:)

• First baby as well… and this week I definitely grew a little bump. Very surprised.
• Always knew morning sickness could happen any time of day and I thought I was in the clear but mine’s been all day for 4 days straight. It’s a bit overwhelming. Anyone else?
• Yes! I have been in the trenches. I’ve actually lost a good amount of weight and have no bump at all. I’m a smaller person but I can’t wait until this part is over 😓.
I was finally prescribed 4mg zofran as well as b6 and Unisom because of my weight loss and it’s been two days ( mine started halfway through week 4 🤢) and I’m functioning again!

I finally started just keeping grocery bags with me bc I found if I stood over the toilet I would just gag. Also I’ve really had to be mindful of what I eat bc throwing up certain things will just send you to a place of constant nausea.
for me watered down gateroraid and cold apple slices in the morning. Saltines every time I get a bad wave and miso soup and coconut soup with plain rice. For lunch and dinner. I tried some fried rice today to see how that goes.

Pregnancy brain: also forgot I already responded here :D
• First time pregnancy here and I am almost 9 weeks, Sooooo bloated. I saw a naturopath asking if there's anything that helps with bloat, he just said walking. So I'm trying to walk after every meal, it has helped actually. My bloat was the worst weeks 5-8 now it seems to be a little better.
• I just hit 6 weeks today with baby #1 🙌🏼 and have been having the worst gas/constipation stomach pains. Anyone else experiencing this? It’s definitely contributing to my bloating. I’m basically living off Gas-X and sleeping with a heating pad. If anyone has other suggestions, I’m all ears!

Totally normal to feel bloated and look like you have a bump already, hormones can be wild in the first trimester, so don't stress too much about it! Just looked it up on the 'Heal Baby Care App' and here’s what it says: "Congratulations on your pregnancy! It's quite common to experience bloating and changes in your body shape early on due to hormonal fluctuations. Many women report similar experiences in the first trimester, and it’s usually not a baby bump yet, but rather bloating. It's great that you have your appointment tomorrow; your healthcare provider can give you more personalized insights. How are you feeling about the changes in your body so far?
• I’m incredibly bloated too and this is my first! Feels like I’m already showing at 4’11 😅
• Also struggling here! Trying to get in more fruit but not helping
• Here’s a weird one- in my 9th week, and have gotten an eruption of hives on my neck/in my hairline. No change in routine or allergen exposure, and no bed bugs or anything. After doing some googling it seems potentially normal, due to hormones? But I’ve never heard of this! Anyone else dealing with itchy hives?
• Maybe not quite the same but I’m breaking out everywhere…that’s been for weeks…and the new thing is my scalp is SO itchy. It’s driving me nuts- I finally just bought some itchy scalp shampoo because I couldn’t take it anymore! Hope your hives pass quickly!
• Good to know! Hives are gone but itchy generally all over. Have read it’s hormones going crazy
• anyone else also having verrry vivid, intense and memorable dreams?! Every morning I wake up and am like wow that was a lot 😂
• I'm 8 weeks as of yesterday! I had my first ultrasound and it was such a blissful experience. I've read a lot of these comments about bloating, me too! It can also be that the digestive tract is slower which can lead to partial constipation or stool left in the colon. For me personally, I've found that to be the case for the majority of my bump-like bloating. Ginger tea, lots of fiber from veggies and fruits, and hydration. When I've been really bad I've tried 250mg of magnesium glycinate before bed (as prescribed by my OB) and had a movement the next morning!
• I’m having very intense dreams too. Didn’t put much thought to it since I dream often. But now that I read your post, it makes sense.
• I am also incredibly bloated! I’m 9w6d today and it seems to be resolving itself slightly. Definitely didn’t help that I was a little backed up, which is also starting to fix itself. Nothing I did seemed to help, just had to let it run its course.
• Yes!! Oh my god!! Right after my 4-5am pee and banana is when they just go crazy! I really should start writing them down!
