Re: Product Spotlight: Diapering 🩲

  • Okay so, for diapers, we are a Pampers family. Huggies will do in a pinch. And Honest diapers can go to hell lol (one too many blowouts in those things…). We use pampers wipes as well.

We have the Ubbi diaper pail and it has been great. Never smells unless you have it open for a bit. During the newborn period when we were changing diapers constantly, I also got mini trashcans (nothing fancy) specifically for diapers to keep downstairs and in our bedroom.

For diaper rash cream, Aquaphor seems to be the most popular one, but I LOVE A&D cream. It has cleared up some seriously awful diaper rash pretty quickly!

  • @bigworldlittleg Yes to aquaphor! We use it for everything and it little goes such a long way. I feel like the dad with his Windex in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It cures all. 😜

We don’t have a go-to brand for diapers. My husband is usually the one picking them up and I’m quite certain his methodology is to pick whatever is cheapest or on sale. I did always love Pampers, though, especially when the babies were really little. We had a diaper genie, but did not use it for very long. It kept getting jammed and we kind of gave up wrestling with it multiple times a day.

We did buy the Arm and Hammer plastic bags to keep in the diaper bag to dispose of diapers while on the go. They help neutralize odors, which was nice if we were at a friend’s house, etc.

I will say, one of my favorite things was this carrier for all the diapering needs/nursing needs. It’s been great for us because I could keep it downstairs/in the living areas during the day, then bring it to bed at night for the night feedings and changing. I loved the soft light that was way less harsh than a lamp or phone light. • This is a lot to digest but I found this on Reddit. It’s a diaper comparison sheet to compare US diaper options just analyzing things like fragrance free, chlorine free, paraben free, biodegradable, and other notable benefits. One pic is sorted by price and one is sorted by which ones the original poster would be trying first. Interesting stuff!

    Top 5 ended up being:
Up&up, huggies little snugglers, pampers pure, Bambo nature, and pura.
