Anyone get the flu while pregnant?

Currently 23 weeks pregnant and have come down with a bad case of the flu. Ended up in the ER the other night because of a high fever and got lots of fluids. They’ve been making me take Tamiflu and Tylenol telling me that the benefits outweigh the cons but I’m struggling to believe that. Has anyone taken Tamiflu and had any bad reactions or something go wrong?

  • Please believe the professionals - if you didn't want to listen to what is best, then you should have stayed home.
They know what is best. Look up fetal hyperthermia, it can be bad for baby.
This is the issue people seek medical help, yet don't want to believe what they say is helpful.

  • I’m sorry you got the flu while
pregnant. I don’t usually get flu shots but decided to do it since I was pregnant, to protect the baby. I haven’t had the flu at all during my pregnancy and haven’t taken Tamiflu. Good luck. Hope you and baby make a full recovery.
  • I got the flu badly when I was 13 weeks and went to the ER. They gave me Tamiflu and I took it, no bad reactions. I'm now 19 weeks and everything is great! I would not advise the flu shot, but that's only my opinion.
