Want to stop pumping..

Hi everyone, my baby is about to be 7 months and I want to stop pumping. I only make about 7oz per day so he usually gets one bottle a day and the rest of formula. However, I do feel guilty about it. Additionally, my husband thinks it’s best for the baby to continue until he’s 1 year old. Selfishly I am back at work and so busy, currently going to physical therapy twice a week and my son also has bi-weekly appointments for his helmet and I am trying to get back into working out. Any advice on how to broach this with my husband without making it all about me?

    For all 3 of my babies breast feeding didn’t work after 3-4 months. They just stopped wanting to breast feed and I was too worried about their food intake to continue. I desperately tried pumping and my supply dropped. All 3 times. It was really difficult for me as I wanted to breast feed so badly and I felt like my body was failing. With my current 6 month old I tried pumping while watching my other 2 kids (3.5 years and almost 2 years old now) and it was torture. I had to keep schedules, remember to pump or power pump desperately trying to keep up and it destroyed my mental health. I finally broke down to my husband about it telling him I want this so badly but it was just too much for me to handle by myself. I simply couldn’t do it all. Long story short, our 6 month old transitioned to formula beautifully and is thriving. 
    All this to say, it’s your body and it’s your mental  load that you have to take care of. Your child already is having majority formula so they will continue to grow wonderfully and happily if you choose to stop pumping. When you talk to your husband just be honest. It’s okay that it’s about you or that something is too much. It can get really overwhelming. As your partner, he’s meant to support and care for you. When you talk to him, tell him how you feel and let him know that it would mean a lot to you if he could support you in this decision even though the outcome may not be what either of you had hoped for.
