How are things going? Any questions?: Disappointed to have to take a step back and re-match, but FX it doesn’t take long and we get the perfect match this time!

R/R: It’s a high of 65 today! My cats are loving having the windows open lol

  • @britters314 It was in the 50’s here and then dropped back down to the low 30’s. We have “false springs” before we get real spring so I’m hoping that was our first false spring. I’m ready to stop wearing all my gear. Alas, we will just exchange the heavy snow gear for the mud gear because it will be mud season. 😆

    WTO/TWW: TWW

Timing/Testing/CS: -3, -4 it’s better than the last few months. My temp shift is slightly delayed so it could be -3, -2 but either way I think we have good timing.

How are things going? Any questions?: I’m irritable because I’m just anxious. I hate the TWW.

R/R: Our temps dropped again and I’m just ready for warmer weather if we aren’t going to get anymore snow. This has been the lamest winter ever. It’s dreary and ugly.
  • @britters314 It can be so hard to take a step back, especially when you've been waiting, but it with be so worth it to move forward with embryos both you and your care team feel good about. Hang in there <3
@emeraldcity603 We get false spring(s) here, too. It's always a little disappointing to dip back into the freezing temps, but I'm also learning to appreciate the mood lift I get from even a temporary increase in sunshine and warmth!

    WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): Benched

    WTO/TWW: N/A, lupron down regulation

How are things going? Any questions?: Just chugging along over here. Started nightly lupron (leuprolide acetate) injections on Friday to keep my ovaries quiet. They sting a bit but at least it's a small daily dose so it's over quickly. Been feeling a bit off through the weekend, hard to know if that's a side effect of the medication or just daylight saving's time knocking me out of sync.

R/R: I went to the gym this morning for the first time in months! I'm so proud of myself! I got into a really good routine of going to the gym to lift weights and swim 2-3 mornings/week last summer and LOVED it, but then winter came and it was dark and cold out and ... I wimped out. Today was a lovely reminder of what I've been missing. Hopefully I can get back into the routine now, and plan better for next winter knowing in advance what my hang-ups are.

  • @aisleofviewtwo I just told DH I want to get a gym membership with a pool. I used to swim and run in college and when I would add swimming to my routine the time it took to run a mile drastically improved.
  • @emeraldcity603 Omg you're telling me! I've been running fairly regularly for decades now and it's still so humbling how out of breath I get in the pool. But also how quickly I see improvement once I'm swimming regularly. Like you, I picked this gym precisely because it has a pool. It's a ~25 minute transit trip from my house (on my commute path to/from work at least, so not awful, but certainly not the 5-minute jog my husband does to the neighborhood Planet Fitness), but truly, no regrets! I hope you find one that's a good fit, too.

WTO/TWW: I have no idea, as per usual

Timing/Testing/CS: I started tracking on Inito on CD6 as required and hit high fertility on CD9 - but it remained high and never showed a peak or LH surge, and then went back to low fertility on CD17. I read that after 8 days of high fertility, the monitor will revert back to low. I assumed I either did not ovulate or the monitor didn't pick it up? Anyway, today - CD21 - I had EWCM. So. I don't know. I haven't tested since Sunday because I got frustrated and assumed I was out this cycle.

How are things going? Any questions?: I have my annual appointment with my gynecologist in May and if I don't have any positive tests or feel my luteal phase is still really short, I will ask for her recommendation as I will be 35 that month.

R/R: It too is glorious weather here - the temperatures look promising enough for the next week that I hope it isn't false spring, but the real deal. Although the time change has EFFED me up this year. I overslept an hour this morning after shutting my alarm and "resting for one more minute."
  • @fifilala516 I would get a few more BD in if you’re seeing some EWCM. Just to cover your bases. Do you track your BBT?
  • @aisleofviewtwo We have a gym that would work in our small city. We also have a pool in the next city over but they don’t have many hours. The one in our city does swim lessons in the am and pm so the times I could go swim would also be limited to early morning or later in the evening. Which is fine but also a hassle. If I could just go once a week it would be better than nothing.

I usually get SCH with my pregnancies and end up on modified bedrest. I think swimming would be something I could safely do and stay active.
  • @emeraldcity603 I don't - I need to get better about that. I sleep so fitfully though! I'm worried it won't be accurate.
  • @fifilala516 FWIW I think the concerns stoked by internet forums that you MUST temp at EXACTLY the same time EVERY morning after 3+ hours continuous sleep are overblown. Might you lose a bit of accuracy temping as you can? Sure! Will you likely still see a shift post-ovulation? Yeah, I think so! I did when I temped whenever I woke up during the night. At the very least, if you've got a thermometer at home it can't hurt to try for a couple cycles and see what you get. And since BBT isn't the only metric you're tracking, you'll be able to compare it to Inito and CM and know if it's wildly off base.

I agree with this. You may see some jumpier temps but cross checking with everything else would give you a better picture. Also, do you have an Apple Watch? People track with that as well. Any wearable device that generates a wrist temp would work. It won’t be as clear as a regular thermometer but it would still work.
  • Anyone testing their PdG? I have been this cycle just to see if I am having high enough progesterone. At first glance they look positive but then I look at a test the way I typically look at one and see a vvvfl. It’s an actual faint line. So I’m marking it as negative. I have confirmed ovulation so I know I have ovulated. I feel like this line is tricky because I can see it but at first glance the test looks negative. I wonder how often there is a light line even when positive? FYI, no second line is a positive test and 2 lines is a negative test.
  • @fifilala516 I’ve temped while on vacations where I’m in a different time zone, on a different sleep schedule, and being woken up multiple times in the night because our whole family is sharing one hotel room, and I can always still see the pattern on my chart during those times, so it doesn’t hurt to give it a try!
