Easy meals for the queasy feels

Looking for inspiration of what to eat that has been gentle on your stomach but still provides some nutritional value!

  • I have been doing alot of tacos, burritos, quesadilla. I can customize with whatever I have or feel like. I can easily get in multiple food groups in at once. Also, great way to use up leftovers.

  • Adding to this question - if anyone has any recommendations for getting liquids down too? It’s difficult to even get water down most days 😔

    I find slicing a whole lemon into a big pitcher in the morning makes water sour enough to combat nausea
  • I have been drinking a LOT of lemonade to get water down. I try to watch the amount of sugar I consume but it helps with nausea and has me staying hydrated. 

    I find that cold foods (fruit/cucumbers/carrots/salads) are my go to to get some nutritional value but also not hurl everywhere. 
  • Green grapes & clementines (both good for water content). As far as bland meals/foods - Lipton extra noodle soup or any chicken broth and noodles, eggo waffles, oatmeal, dry roasted salted peanuts, pb&j (grape jelly for me). 
  • @knottie21d2a8f947a0480d cutting Gatorade with water has helped me immensely. Find a flavor you can tolerate and go for it. I buy the small bottles so I’m not consuming a ton of sugar but it has been working wonders. Also TONS of ice. Like fill the water bottle to the brim and then add water. 
  • @alisonmarie_1 the ice for sure! If it’s not cold, for some reason I’m fully repulsed by it 😅 pregnancy is so weird 
  • also applesauce has been a lifesaver too. The Mott’s regular unsweetened in the small cups. 
  • When my little one needed gentle yet nutritious food, I found that mashed sweet potatoes, avocado, or banana worked really well. Oatmeal with a bit of breast milk or formula was also a hit. Plain yogurt or steamed carrots are great options too! 
  • I’ve been doing smoothies, soups mostly. Also my mom’s cooking has been life saving. I can actually stand the smell it doesn’t bother me, while at my own house I can’t stand the smell of food. I did notice i lost weight, like 3-4 lbs so that has been stressing me out.. the nausea has been exhausting. 9w 5d 🤍 wish u well mamas
