  • WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): Waiting for my clinic to approve our embryo match

    WTO/TWW: TWW (10dpo)

Timing/Testing/CS: We didn’t get any timing in the FW this cycle

How are things going? Any questions?: TW loss mentioned. I’m kind of angry with my clinic right now. I sent them a message yesterday asking them to refill my thyroid meds and I got a message this morning saying “we aren’t monitoring you through your pregnancy so you’ll need to ask your OB.” I’ve told them twice already that I had a miscarriage so idk why they don’t seem to have that in my chart. They also pointed out that they haven’t checked my thyroid levels in months but I asked them back in January if I needed to redo any testing before doing another transfer cycle and they said no. They are also taking longer than last time to approve my embryo match and now I’m wondering if it’s because they think I’m still pregnant and don’t understand why I’m trying to get more embryos

  • @britters314 I would be on the phone with someone today for sure. This is so unacceptable. How long does it take to update a chart. Plus, this could absolutely be very emotionally taxing on you or anyone who experienced a rather traumatic loss. I hope you get all this sorted out soon.

    Timing/Testing/CS: hoping today and tomorrow

How are things going? Any questions?: I’m figuring out OPKs. I understand how to read them but figuring out when and how often to test is my issue.

R/R: I went cross country skiing this past Saturday. We had to go up the mountain pass to find enough snow. The trail was multi use so was a bit uneven in places. My skis got caught in an uneven place on the trail going downhill and I flew forward and landed on my chest. It was a surprisingly soft landing but I had snow all down the front of me. I didn’t land on my wrist that I broke a few years back so that was a positive. We did a total of 4.5 miles and I was exhausted by the end and sore the next day.
  • @britters314 Ugh, that's awful. I'm so sorry. I've had to prompt my clinic to reset my portal after a cycle a few times, and they've at least had the decency to be SO apologetic about the oversight. I can't believe yours seem so brusque and flippant. I'm going to hope they were just slammed or running behind or otherwise not thinking straight and that they come around to treating you better pronto. Like @emeraldcity603 I'd probably try to get somebody on the phone, but I know how much they love to insist that communication go through the portals...
@emeraldcity603 I hope the OPKs are helpful!

WTO/TWW: "TWW," luteal but not waiting for anything

    Timing/Testing/CS: N/A

How are things going? Any questions?: Things are fine. I have to admit I was kind of skeptical of their whole "ovulate the cyst off" strategy but my temps are rising like they usually would post-O so it seems the specialists do indeed know what they're talking about. Starting microdose Lupron this Friday, returning to the clinic for another (hopefully more successful) ICV on 3/20.

R/R: I've finally got my morning daylight back, hooray! But it's going to be stolen from me next weekend, boo.

  • @emeraldcity603 @aisleofviewtwo They did get back to me very quickly and were really apologetic. The person I talked to said she had misread my chart, so at least that means they do have it updated. I’m guessing she was just rushing to get through all the portal messages that had come in over the weekend.
  • @emeraldcity603 if you have a typical pattern, I’d start testing a few days before you normally O, and then more frequently as you see CM become more fertile.  It helps if you’re not worried about running out of tests.  I found it a bit easier after the first cycle of OPKs, but it was a boost seeing the first +!

@britters314 I’m hoping you make some meaningful headway with this about these issues this week!  How frustrating to feel like they aren’t verifying information on their end.

    WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): Femara/med cocktail/TI cycle

    WTO/TWW: TWW, 7dpo

    Timing/Testing/CS:  I’ll start testing tomorrow at 8dpo 🙃

How are things going? Any questions?:  I’m having all the progesterone symptoms right now.  They added an oral progesterone too so it’s helpful to know this has to do with the medication, plus I’m only 7dpo.

R/R:  I don’t know if I’m hopeful, and honestly kinda preparing myself for the bench until summer.  The prednisone (plus getting up to pee extra) is killing my sleep these last few days and I’m just glad either I can stop all of this until he’s home or it’ll be for a purpose.  I sent MH with a ceramic-lined coffee tumbler so he’s at least not drinking hot coffee out of disposable cups for 3 months straight, but he probably will anyway.  At least I think I can send him to the exchange on base for vitamins and coq10 if we’re lucky.

  • @virginiaham  my window is definitely open and I started right when I started seeing CM. The line was definitely a little darker and thicker this morning. I plan to do a decent hold this evening and test again. Good luck testing tomorrow.

  • @emeraldcity603 wooot keep it up! FX for O soon and good timing!

Timing/Testing/CS: According to Inito, I am in my FW but haven't hit the LH surge yet.

How are things going? Any questions?: Not at the moment

R/R: I woke up with a cold and hoping it stays mild and doesn't mess with ovulation.
  • @fifilala516 I ran across the Inito while I was looking for some test strips on Amazon. Is it one test strip that measures all of these things with the Inito? You have my interest peaked.
  • @emeraldcity603 Yep - one strip tests E3G, pdG, LH and FSH. So you get the monitor and a phone clip (it has to be specific to your model phone), and you hook up the phone to the monitor/clip, and then insert the test strip. It takes around 10 minutes to read/process. Usually it prompts to start testing on CD6, and will tell you low fertility, high fertility, peak fertility, then it will track a pdG rise to confirm ovulation.
  • I’m hoping I get a temp shift the day after tomorrow. My temps are doing the exact same pattern they have done the last 2 cycles. It makes me wonder how long that pattern would hold. It will also mean our timing is perfect if I do ovulate the day after tomorrow.

@britters314 Sorry to hear they mixed up your chart. It always sucks to hit a delay.

@virginiaham Good luck with your testing. 🤞

In case anyone needs to hear it, it's ok to not feel hopeful. It won't affect your results one way or the other and you're allowed to feel whatever you need to feel. Saying this for myself too. ❤️

    Timing/Testing/CS: -1, currently on 4dpo

How are things going? Any questions?: Things are ok. I've been seeing good LH peaks which is really nice bc usually mine are very small. Much easier to be sure I've got it right when it spikes high. We could only do it once during the fertile window though, so I'm hoping it'll be enough.

R/R: My current rants are political so I'll try to keep those on the inside. Why does it have to be so stressful?!? 😂😭😂

Rave: I just saw some green peeking out at the base of some of my plants. I'm so excited for spring gardening. 😁 I planted some new natives last year and I'm really looking forward to see how they fill in. I also offered to plan my in laws landscaping, so I need to get my butt in gear! The in-laws are still under a bunch of snow so I have a bit of time before it's spring there, but the hints of greenery I'm seeing here is serving as my hurry up alarm, lol. 🌿🌼
  • @ferret22 I remember wondering why so many adults used to get so fired up over politics. I started paying attention to politics at the start of 2020 because I was trying to keep up with everything. Now, just about everything politics related makes me mad. 😂
  • @ferret22 @emeraldcity603 I work in television on a political show so I am always happy to discuss/rant/vent if you want to DM!
  • @ferret22 I also planted some natives recently and I’m excited to see them come in this spring!

Update for me: my doctor reviewed our embryo match and says she doesn’t recommend we use these embryos because of something in the family medical history, so it looks like we’ll have to wait for another match again. At least matching doesn’t take too long and I don’t think it will even delay us much. We have a vacation coming up that we would have probably had to wait until after anyway just because of the timing with my cycles.
  • @britters314 I’m sorry you are getting shuffled back a step.
