I personally recommend getting a infant car seat/stroller travel system. Basically, the car seat attaches to both the car seat base in your car and it attaches to the stroller. When I was out and about with my son when he was little, it was super easy to take him out of the car, in his car seat, and attach that to the stroller.
We had the Chicco Bravo travel system, which was a hand me down from my sister. I didn't have any issues with it, and the price isn't bad. Link:Â https://a.co/d/2aXFrfM
Keep in mind that infant car seats do have expiration dates, so if you are getting a hand-me-down, make sure to check that!
I know several moms in my last bump group really liked the Nuna travel system. Those are pretty $$$ though. But if you've got the money to spend, look into those as well!
My best advice is to get the nicest stroller you can afford. Pushing a Baby Jogger brand stroller is so much easier and comfortable than the Chico travel system I had for my first. I also recommend getting an infant bucket seat. You technically can go straight to convertible, but it makes transitioning from home to car/vice versa much harder.Â

We just ended up ordering a Graco travel system, luckily they had several on display at our Super Target so we finally pulled the trigger on one! It seems great in theory so hopefully we will feel the same once it's actually in use lol.
I’m looking at the Graco Fast Action Jogger and their car seat. All the newer Graco products have the click connect so I’m thinking moving from car to stroller should be easy since I imagine we will be on the go a lot.Â
@tashaandpeanut we are originally looking at a jogger too but realized it was a lot heavier than the one we ended up with. If you have somewhere near you that has them on display I highly recommend checking them out that way, it definitely helped me figure out things I did and didn't want!
Have any of you tried the Graco Ready2Jet Compact Stroller? Supposedly it folds up with the push of one button (I guess a more budget version of the Nuna TRV). It shows a discounted rate on Amazon right now.Â
@watermelonsunshine That Graco Compact stroller looks like it has really good reviews! The chicco stroller we have is a bit bulky, so going with a light, compact one will make it easier to transport in and out of the car. I also love that it has a cup holder! It might seem like a little thing, but being able to put your water bottle or coffee into it while you're pushing the stroller is a great benefit. Looks like it's compatible with the Graco SnugRide infant car seat, so if you go with that stroller, definitely get the matching car seat, so you can easily click the car seat into it.
That’s great to know! I’ve been curious about the infant car seats travel systems vs. convertible car seats. I would prefer to not have to buy two different car seats, but sounds like maybe the convenience is worth it if possible.Â
I have noticed there seem to be discounted prices on Graco and other baby gear throughout the year with different Baby Week sales.Â
Anyone have the Mockingbird stroller? I'm looking for one that I could interchange and add a second seat if I need to for amusement parks/zoos, etc, but don't plan on using it often. I also want a bassinet attachment.
We got a travel system! 😃 Found one on clearance 50%-off at Target, I think because it was manufactured the middle of last year and will expire sooner than the others on the shelf (but it will still be safe for our baby).
It is called the Joie Nutmeg with Mint infant car seat.
(It’s very similar to the Graco Ready2Jet. I think they both are trying to be like the Nuna.)
We tested out the display model, and it seems light and easy to fold. I think it will fit nicely in a small car. I hope it works great!
After tons of research and consideration, we went with mockingbird! Loved that you can convert to two seats as we hope to give this little nugget a sibling one day. We got the bassinet attachment as well as the car seat- went with maxi cosi luxe. I bumped into a new mom the other day with the mockingbird and she was raving about it. I’m excited to see what it’s all about!Â

I'm excited for you! I'm getting that one as well. I ran into a mom that had one and asked for all the details. We won't really need the second seat for my first daughter, but I wanted to have the option for trips where there would be lots of walking and going to get the riding board.
We went with the Graco Gomax. It’s baseless with ridgid LATCH connections.  Our baby is going to be in at least 3 cars a day (mine, hubby, nanny) so not having a base is really convenient and installing it is so fast.Â
We got a Fast Action jogger stroller to go with it. With my first I never used the stroller unless it was a big outing like to the Zoo or sometging (I baby wore everywhere and can only imagine I’ll do it even more with little bro!) so it being a little heavier wasn’t a biggie and he can use it until he’s done with strollers!

I think we are sold on the UppaBaby Vista. It's on the higher end, but we love that it can convert to a double (all for future proofing things).
