oh so tired and unmotivated. Even a shower seems like a lot of work at the end of the day. And I know I would probably feel better if I ate more protein but it all just sounds so gross.

rant: why is the 1st trimester actually FOREVER?!
Rave: my daughters 2nd birthday party was a huge success 🥳 aaaand I got my home Doppler to pick up baby’s heartbeat which is a game changer!

𝗥𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀/𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀: I got the stomach bug from my son and that plus first trimester symptoms is really killing me this week!

𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: has anyone done a private scan? This is the week that my last pregnancy ended in MC and I’m thinking of booking a private scan for some peace of mind

@yogamama2 we have a boy name picked out but haven't discussed girl names yet. The boy name has actually been picked out for 4 years now lol---when we had our first child, DH was set on having a Jr if it was a boy...then randomly a month or so before baby was born he started to second guess it and we had another name picked out. Our poor son was nameless in the hospital for 2 days while we decided which name we wanted to use 😅

@elsalee26 I got a private ultrasound done at 6w6d because I was getting anxious waiting for my doctors appointment. I'm finally getting one done at my doctors office this week (I'll be 9w6d, so 3 whole weeks later!) I'm so glad I did one, it gave me some peace of mind after also having a loss

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴? Everyone in my house has been soo sick this past week, it was hard to tell if certain symptoms were pregnancy related or sickness

𝗥𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀/𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀: We have been super lucky this school year with minimal illness but my son brought home the preschool plague last week. Poor guy definitely had it the worst out of all of us, but it worked it's way through all 4 of us 🫠

𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Is anyone waiting until the anatomy scan to find out the sex? We didn't find out the sex with our first 2, husband wants to find out this time but I'm on the fence. I don't know if I'll be ready to make a decision by the time I do my NIPT

GTKY: How did you and your SO meet? Technically at a bar 🤪 we went to the same college and were out celebrating a mutual friend's 21st birthday, 15 years ago!

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴? Pretty nauseous and highly fatigued by about 3PM, but I’ve been able to keep working out so far. I wish I could get in for my initial ultrasound sooner. Waiting another month feels very far away.

GTKY: How did you and your SO meet? We lived on the same floor our freshman year of college. It’ll actually be 20 years this fall!
@yogamama2 Haven’t gotten to talking names yet. Kind of waiting to see the ultrasound first.
@elsalee26 I looked it up the other day and decided against it (for now). It’s tempting just to get an earlier indication of how things are going.
@nsk489 Punting until the anatomy scan sounds like a good idea. I’m leaning towards not finding out but we’ll see.

@nsk489 was the private scan you did transvaginal or abdominal? I’m tempted to book one for this weekend but the clinic in my town only does abdominal and I’m worried if we can’t see anything it’ll just make me even more anxious. I’ll only be 8w.

@elsalee26 mine was both actually. They started with abdominal but because it was still kinda early the images weren't great, so we switched to transvaginal. At 8w abdominal should be fine!

Just need to vent about feeling like trash lately. I’m sure it’ll get harder but man is the nausea and fatigue really kicking in. I’m fortunate to be be ok with eating, but I’ve definitely started gagging if I don’t get something in my stomach to moment a nausea wave hits. I spend a lot of my work day on the plant floor and am worried it’s going to get tough pretty soon.

GTKY: How did you and your SO meet? I was an intern at the same company. I thought it would be a summer fling but it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. 2025 marks 9 years together, and two years married.
