1st Trimester

Measuring 10 days behind…

Hi all, I had my first prenatal appointment yesterday expecting I am 9 weeks based on LMP being 12/9. During the ultrasound baby was measuring 7 weeks & 4 days. A good heartbeat was detected, so that’s promising. I’m kind of freaking out and I’m not sure what to make of it except for either I ovulated later than I anticipated or this pregnancy is not progressing normally.

I don’t normally have irregular periods, my cycle is usually 28 to 30 days and I’ve been tracking and monitoring my cycles, and OPK’s. I read online that I shouldn’t necessarily worry because there can be some discrepancy between the ultrasound and LMP, but I can’t help but be anxious. I had a chemical pregnancy in the summer so I’m just worried and hope everything goes well with this little peanut ☹️ I did request a repeat ultrasound on 2/24, but in the meantime I’m mostly curious to hear from mamas who had similar experiences with a positive outcome! 🙂

I had my first child at age 34, normal pregnancy. I will be 37 at the birth of my second child as long as this pregnancy works out 🤞🏻

  • chlsfllmo If you were only using LMP to 'date' your PG, then I wouldn't worry at all.  Also, if the baby looked good on the ultrasound and had a good heartbeat, that is the most important thing at this point.  One week is not such a big deal with as far along as you are.  You're way beyond the point of a chemical PG if you're seeing a heartbeat.
