  • Baby acne is normal at that age and has nothing to do with your diet. I drank mothers milk tea for the first few weeks and it definitely worked to establish and increse my supply. But if you think there’s a connection between the tea and baby’s skin, stop drinking it and maybe go for adding brewers yeast to your food/drinks instead. There’s a great recipe for lactation cookies in the recipes thread of our bump month board, too.

  • I religiously drank mother’s milk tea with my daughter that is now 5, it gave her horrible gas and the worst foamy poop. Drank it with my son that is now 3, gave him terrible hiccups and made him fussy.

With the baby I just had I decided to not go down that road and I just make sure I drink a lot of water, coconut water and body armor to stay really hydrated and also make sure I eat enough.

I also pump using a cheap hand pump if he has a really long nap (I don’t pump ever at night and he sleeps all night) my supply is good enough that He’s doubled his birthweight…

if you are concerned with your milk supply the best thing in my opinion is to stay hydrated/fed and empty your breasts more frequently.

    Best of luck!
  • I drank this tea but after the feed my baby started feeling discomfort for a straight 1 hr. I also suffer from low milk supply so a month ago, I started using 'healthy nursing tea'. It is slowly increasing my supply and I pump a few more ounces than before.
