Depends what you need. I enjoyed Emily Oster’s book Expecting Better. I found Like a Mother by Angela Garbes super interesting but it’s probably not for everyone. I also listened to a birth stories podcast closer to the end of pregnancy. If you’re a FTM I would hold off on reading parenting books until much later. I most needed it for toddlerhood with my first and had forgotten almost everything I read already.
I know it seems urgent now but you have time for all this stuff! Things I found helpful my first pregnancy & birth was: free classes from my local hospital about birth, newborn care, and breastfeeding (if you choose to do that). Also hypnobirthing by Siobhan Miller (book/audiobook). Also positive birth podcasts so my mind wouldn’t be fearful of birth.
As another person suggested parenting books are probably more important later since you will probably forget a lot of it. My suggestion is to try and help yourself be as healthy physically and mentally as possible so that you can show up as the best mama for your baby 💕
